I'm feeling your pain. When they said it was between me and an internal candidate I felt like my team had just fumbled on the 1 yard line for the go ahead score.
Take the positives from the process and build upon it. i know the one question I may have stumbled upon is now rock solid.

thanks for the nice words all..what is aggravating me, is the fact he thought she would make a quicker impact...
i took over my territory in feb 09 and it was 88% to goal....by july 09 it was 136% to goal.... and, YES, he knew that....
I'm thinking it was a 'transfer' from another territory, or something like that...in which case, I really didn't have a chance...b/c they take care of internal candidates first...
anyway....i'm still #1 in nation thru June...so a trip to Barecelona, Spain is looking good

Exactly my take regarding internal candidates or transfers from another department as is the case in my line of work.
in your case, you're money, and I have no doubt something better will come along.

had an interivew today for a Hospital representative position here in Memphis selling Effient
Effient is the competitor to Plavix...which I sold for 8 years...
Got asked back for another 2 hr interview tomorrow....:scared :scared :scared
not getting to hyped up...I made that mistake for the gastro job...

ok...had my two hour interview today...
went well...he will make a final decision in two weeks....
said I was 'in the mix'....
also, my present job's contract is up in Feb....
they are laying off half the sales force....:scared :scared ....
BUT....they are going by past performance and comptencies....since i am #1 in country, that will help.....
they will let us know in two weeks....either way....
life changing situation in a couple of weeks...:0008

well, Abbott, my current employer...willl NOT pick up my contact in January, so I will be out of that a job January 1...
The girl they hired above...QUIT!!!
Just got a call from the hiring DM...."I really wanted you, i had pressure to hire from within....so on and so on....
No problem...interviewed again yesterday...and they are flying me to Dallas on 29th for final interview...looks liike job is mine, if I want it....
which works out well...start day Jan 3rd.....
amazing how chit seems to workout sometime...
although I've probably put on 10 lbs :0corn :0corn due to stress...:sadwave: :sadwave:
