I played craps with this guy a few months ago who bet a quarter on a hard 8, said "hard 8", rolled a hard 8, parlayed that hard 8, then rolled it again 2 rolls later. All I remember after that was the dude getting pushed a lot of purple chips! :142smilie:popcorn2

I think he tends to forget the good luck.

Well, at least I did.

I used to be lucky as hell. All the bad beats went my way, I caught all my flush draws and filled up when I needed to, Blackjack was easy winnings, and I used to actually hit Royals when I played VP.

Not anymore.

I really think their something to this. At least for me it is.

You must have turned turned 50 since September. Every time you got up from a table it was color me up, as I was looking for my ATM card or trying to sell Smurph for a couple bucks.

Remember him constantly whining at the pai gow table? He'd have 3 pairs and sulk because he didn't know what to do with them. :142smilie

I brought this exact combo to a football gathering a couple of weeks past and I got the usual "girly drink" barbs from the fellas, but of course once they tried it the shit was gone ASAP.

Do yourself a favor and get some Cherry Coke, I use Zero for my figure, and do an equal parts Fireball/Cherry. Nighty nighty.

Attitude, men........attitude.

If you think you are going to win, it helps!

another thing, when your'e young and loosey goosey, the gambling wins and losses don't matter much, because you can always get more money rather easily. but when you get older, money becomes a little more important and you realize that you may not be able to keep making good money forever, and most of us tighten up on gambling then.

then the bad beats and big losses become more pronounced, your attitude suffers, the wins seem to be fewer and farther between, frustration sets in etc. gambling doesn't seem as much fun anymore. i have been gambling for over 50 years and the last 15 years or so have been hell. i can't remember the last big win i had. i play quite small now and enjoy it more, although the excitment has faded considerably.
