cluttering up my e-mail box & my mail box with solicitations......i'm aware of all of the books out there & what they offer......

if any reps of books read this message....i'm telling you that these mailings are having an opposite effect of their intentions....& i'm taking notes of which ones are constantly annoying me.....

do you hear this ...

bestline
carib
vip

these above are just a few....there are others.... i never even inquired about....

i just got something from a book called sunset, which i never even heard about.....how did they get my mailing address ?

after the football season i'm going to start speaking to the books that i'm using now & used in the past & ask them if they are selling my names to other books.....worse comes to worse i'll go back to the books that i used to use in ny.... at least they won't annoy me like these offshore books do...

AGREED!!! I never deal with the ones who fill my inbox with solicitations and I never will. That's why I stick with 5dimes, Canbet and a few other good reputable ones.

Same here. Terrible time of year, I don't go a day without a letter, bogus magazine, or some fliers pushing a certain book.

You guys ever get t shirts in the mail? I've gotten a few as well, at least they are something I can use.

Mybookie mails me at least 20 times a week. Usually more.

I get annoyed by the stuff too, no question, but it takes all of 15 seconds to simply walk to the garbage and throw it in there, what's so hard about that....But, it's more the tout stuff that annoys people I think, but still if you don't like it then throw it out without even reading it, it takes less time to do that, AR, then to spend 10 minutes posting and complaining about it

hey mike,

thanks for that idea....i don't know why i didn't think of that.....

the problem is if you live with other people, who share your e-mail address or if they pick up the mail & drop your mail on the kitchen table, where guests can see who sent you the mail......

it shouldn't be anybodies business what you do...but people talk.....

i just thought that the books would use more discretion & respect their customers privacy...since it is illegal.....but they don't seem to care about any of that......

vinnie,

thanks for that suggestion....how do i go about putting the books on a spam list ?

thanks

a sportsbook would not sell your email to another book. why would they send their list to their competition? that would be like sears giving the personal information of all lawnmower customers to walmart. not going to happen. or me giving my hearing aid customer list to my competitor and i left that business 4 years ago. he's *STILL* not getting my list :D

how they got your email is a good question. who knows? i don't.

Here
Your Internet provider should have a spam filter option for e-mail

If your running outlook open the message then click on messages and select block sender.

I agree, is the case with me since I live with other people, but they just drop the mail in my area and I dont give this new address out for gambling stuff....I agree with you though, apparently they could care less about the legality of stuff and they just want new business at any expense that they can, if they think mass marketing and annoying people works, then they're just wrong, but they'll ALWAYS be enough people that respond to the ad's and sign up new accounts to make it worth the books while......but it does seem like someone is trading names and email addresses, because theres no way I or others sign up for a fraction of the garbage we get

thanks for that insightful as always post, Matthew....Nice of you to never have a hint of sarcasm in your posts, although you are nowhere near as much of an a$$ in person as you try to personify on these boards.....It isnt that hard to ignore the spam though, clicking delete guy or going to the garbage is quite simple, did you know that?

Yeah I get a ton of this stuff also. Get a chitload in the mail from books I have never used, hate to say it Jack but some of these books are sharing client lists, cause there is no other way they would have my addresses. I mean this is sites I have never heard of. Also just recently can add bodog to my list of email dumpster material.

Something else I wanna say the best books don'tt bother me w/anything list includes, Olympic, Pinnacle and betjamica.

Books learn from these guys, people just want good lines not all the hoopla bullchit!!!:) And quick payouts.

How many of those stupid schedules and calanders do you get every day? VIP and Carib have to be two of the worst, and I have never signed up there with my new address. Sorry but they ARE getting this information somehow!!! I moved 18 months ago and have only used two books in that time - Pinnacle and Olympic - and I dont even think they have my new address. Never get a thing from them, never have signed up on anyone elses website in that time, never ever given out my home adress to any of these places, Yet somehow these jackals get your email and home address. Mailbox is full every day, sports schedules, solicitations, those football magazines, slut covered magazines (uhm those are OK) - the mags are great but do I need a dozen of them all saying the same thing?

Today in the mail it was Guardian. Never heard of Guardian, official looking envelope from Guardian Guarantee Corporation, just some bullchit from them with another guide on how to wager and a BIG BONUS ANNOUNCEMENT. Give me a break. If they arent sharing how did they get my new address? I started emailing them telling them to remove me from their mailing list, but that hasnt helped.

On the course!
It's really nice when you have 5 of the same thing coming from the same book each time! (Based on spelling the name or address slightly different)
