My opinion is you will be very sorry if you don't get a 60" zero turn. She'll learn how to use it with no problem.

Hell, I only had an acre and I was sorry, I can't imagine not having one with 4 acres.

You will definitely remember me telling you so. DEFINITELY.

thanks Saint

I am going to call ATT uverse today and see what they say.

PS - I have been told not to let them install the dish on top of roof.

and to have them put it on a pole close to house ??

if the clearance is enuff that you don't have to do any or very little tree clearing close to the house then the pole is the way to go..

easy for any necessary repair[bad storms] and in the case ya do get a heavy snow you can walk out and broom the snow off it.

living out in nowhere land is very beneficial or used to be way cheaper as in parking meters only a nickle per hr parking fines $2 property taxes maybe $200 a year crime shit compared to cities with 200,000 population when you onkly have maybe 5000 population there isnt any crime daily maybe one incident a year.

BUT the disadvantages are you disconnected from top cable companies and forced to get such lower speed internet.

I also recommend remove trees on your property due to crazy storms we get today you do not want a 50 ft oak crashing into your house!

Jack is giving you some good advice. My mom and dad live on 29 acres, but only keep about 3 nicely mowed. She is 76 years old, and bought a 61" Scag about 10 years ago. She has no problem with this machine, and cut her mowing time in half. Buy a used one if you have to, but spending a $1000 on a lawn tractor will be a waste of money for what you're needing to do.

thanks

went into a sales and service center for Scagg today .

They had a 2012 model 52" cut 27 hp sitting out.

They worked up the numbers for me and with taxs and everything it was $8,800.00

If I put two grand down the payment with 0 interest for 48 mths was $ 162.00 bucks a mth

Man if I do that I am going to advertise around the neighborhood to cut grass .

PS - I got a estimate over the phone from a comm/res mower guy . He told me it would be about 100 - 150 bucks every 10 days during peak summertime cutting season. Said he could set it up every two weeks.

really think you are over investing w/ a Skagg..

they are the shit now..

but man that's a lotta $$$$

you can get a 2 year warranty residential zero for less than 5 grand..

just a matter of changing the oil every 25 hours and the filter about every 30 hours..

yes ..ya need a good machine ..shop around..

Deere will be high..they think way to highly of the products..good not great IMHO

anything you get you will have to keep clean..sharpen blades once a week..a single cut will dull your blades out..you can keep it in the barn so it will not get weathered real bad..

if you are retiring there you might want to cut a few acres for pocket money..

100.00 every two weeks..:scared

he is nuts to be that low in price..

I get 45.00 for some 30 minute lawns.

feel free to get my numbers from Jack if ya have any questions..

some others who cut here as well who can surely give you some sound advice.

uhhh

how the fuck do I get the thing lifted to even think about sharpening the blades. With the Scag I would need a car lift, as its big as a VW

I think I would run it without sharpening for years and that bitch better cut half way decent

the guy at the dealer said I probably would be dealing with a mixture of grasses in the yard

Still unsure about which zero lawnmower to get

The Scag Cheetah
The Fastest Cat on Earth.
The Scag Cheetah is the fastest and most comfortable cat in the Scag family. Clocking in at speeds up to 16 mph and featuring a coil-over shock suspension system, the Cheetah is truly a remarkable zero-turn mower.

The Operator Suspension System isolates the operator platform via a coil-over shock and provides additional comfort via rubber iso-mounts. This innovative, adjustable system soaks up the bumps and keeps things simple with only three moving parts.

The ZT-5400 transaxles have two-speeds, Low Range (up to 12MPH) and High Range (up to 16MPH). The large 15 gallon fuel capacity (dual tanks) keeps you in the field cutting grass. Fill up in the morning and cut all day long.

From the heavy-duty, Tri-Plate Velocity Plus? side discharge cutter decks and the 61" Velocity Plus? Rear Discharge Decks, to the various high-power engine options, there's a Cheetah that will increase your productivity and leave your competition in the dust!

Contact your local Scag dealer for a field demonstration today. The Cheetah is pure Scag quality with ultra-fast ground speeds, a soft ride and a cut that is "Simply the Best." The Scag Cheetah equals productivity

I almost pulled the trigger on one of those last year. I ended up with a Bad Boy brand mower, same guys that build Bad Boy hunting buggies. It gets the job done and about 1/2 the price of the Scag.

Internet-wise...I live in the country and have Centurylink and it is fkng terrible. I've been exploring my options and they're limited. I've looked at dish internet and they all have daily download limits so wife would go nuts with no netflix. Let me know what you find as far as internet options.

I have Dish Network and I'm about to switch to Direct...enough said

cutting 4 acres w/o sharp blades..

:scared :scared :scared :scared :scared

going to need sharp blades homeboy..especially on those damp grass days when a 2 or 3 day rain is coming and you know it will be hell to pay to cut after that..

I used an inepensive garage jack for years to lift the zeros..

this year I bought the easy lift..
