Two cold weather playoff games and a cold weather Super Bowl could be too much kryptonite.

GL

Not with THE GLOVE. This cold weather thing is silly. Peyton played well enough last year to beat the Ravens, and he was still recovering. The cold will not slow down the man with THE GLOVE.

Horses for courses is not silly. It may not hold, but it ain't silly. And last year he didn't make it past first base, much less rounding 3rd and heading for home plate, I certainly hope he has more in the tank this year.

No, it is very silly. You will see how silly this winter. And your analogy is silly. He was still recovering from the injury and still did all he needed to do to beat the eventual Super Bowl champions. It took the worst game in Champ Bailey's career, a miracle throw and perhaps the STUPIDEST defensive blunder in NFL history for the eventual Super Bowl winners to NARROWLY squeak by. Peyton is healthy this year in case you haven't opened your eyes to see the record books being rewritten. Don't worry about the tank. He has more in his tank than the rest of the QBs in the NFL put together. :0008

He threw the interception that led to the points that cost them the game. He had a shitty game and did nothing to win that game outside the first quarter.

When he was in his prime his record in freezing temperatures was poor. His playoff record is less than stellar at 9-11 and most of those wins were probably in Indianapolis. The losses, outside in the cold.

First of all, this is bashing. Jack, I am not going to put up with this shit anymore. I am sick of fuckheads on this site saying I don't know what I am talking about because I smoke pot.

Second, IF you had taken the time to read the article instead of just opening your uneducated mouth, you would see that the offense is on pace to SHATTER every fucking scoring and passing record. It is early in the season, but the discussion can be opened after three straight games of epic scoring.

Third, go fuck yourself, douchebag. You want to disagree with me, that is fine. You are entitled to your opinion. However, don't criticize my thoughts because I smoke cannabis. I could be stoned out of my mind and still have a firmer grasp of football than you.

I almost spilled my bong water on this one, thanks that was hilarious.

By the way you just bashed me, WTF.
Now you think you have a firmer grasp of football than myself.
That stuff always make you thin skinned? Gives me some anxiety but otherwise enjoy it.

Hasish............:toast:

I got peyton in fantasy so hope the offense never slows

But I have to agree with others on the topic of cold weather. I don't think by any means is it a "silly" thing to say. I think its a proven thing. When the weather changes, and the tempature drops, so does peytons production. I actually agree that this offense could be the best of our era, IF they continue at this pace, or even anything close to it.....but remember, the 07' patriots and the greenbay packers of 2010 both had offenses that could rival any before them, and they both ran into hot giants teams...all about how you play late in the season.

I hope you are correct and peyton won't be bothered in playoffs. (Unless he is playing miami). I have saints/denver as my superbowl and I could actually say I was partially correct for once.....I agree that denver is unreal.....but I also believe if you weren't a broncos fan, or if peyton was on any other team, that you would be the first to point out his inconsistencies come winter and cold outdoor games....

The difference with this team compared to peyton and the colts teams in the past: DEFENSE. Even if peyton struggles, and somehow only scores 17-27 in a playoff game, this defense is good enough to keep them in games.....and that is without possibly their two best defenders in von miller and champ bailey....although as I say that, I highly doubt we are never gonna see another rex grossman or trent dilfer in the SB IMO. To many teams can score way to much. While defense can keep peyton in maybe 1 game if he struggles due to cold, he better rebound the next week because eventually you will have to score 30 in the playoffs to advance.

I am sorry if this doesn't make sense, and I already know it is random at times. I am at work and trying to squeese this in quickly on my phone.

While I am thinking of it, and past colt teams, what ever came of bob sanders? Is he still in sandiego? Remember how good he was when healthy for the colts ....wowsas.

Hashish I am 100% on your side. This is the best offense I have seen in a long time. Peyton just picks defenses apart. Is Denver not cold enough for people? They already have snowfall this year. All this hype about Peyton not being able to play in cold weather is ridiculous.

Ocballer, thanks. :toast:

Addict, you said it yourself about the Colts defense. IMO, that was the main reason for Peyton's poor record in cold weather playoff games. You also have to take into account that those games were on the road. A playoff game on the road is more about noise than cold affecting Peyton IMO. He'll be playing his cold weather games in Denver this year. Let's just see how this story plays out. :0corn

Addict, you got me curious about Sanders. It looks like he hasn't played since 2011. He ended every year from 2008-11 on the IR list. I guess using your body as a missile takes its toll. :scared He sure was fun to watch!

Remarkable regular season qb. Below average playoff qb. He is quite simply a choker in crunch time and always has been. He couldnt win the big games in college, and with the roster polian assembled for him in Indy, brees or brady would have won 2-3 super bowls minimally imo. Ive been the beneficiary of his choking. Living in Nola is always wonderful, but it has never been better than during the playoff run and Super Bowl victory in the winter of 2010. I recall the thrill I felt when Tracy Porter iced the game with a pick 6 at payton's expense as if happened yesterday. I remember feeling sorry for payton, not that his team lost, but that he was the reason for it. If the saints aren't facing the broncos in the super bowl this season, I'll be rooting for manning to finally come through in the clutch.

Peyton has a Super Bowl ring, which is one more than you or any of the other naysayers have. Christ, you would think a man that has won a ring wouldn't have to "finally come through in the clutch."

He has a good chance of winning a few more in Denver before he retires as well.

I didn't play pro football and win a super bowl title, thus am not entitled to an opinion on whether a man with a losing playoff record and pedestrian playoff stats is clutch. That's a good one....lol

I never said you weren't entitled to an opinion. Although I will say one of the sad parts of the human race is how often people are looking to rain down on other people's happiness. I have been guilty of it myself, but it is still disheartening to see others do it.

I started this thread to celebrate the Broncos this year, but you and others have come in to rain on the parade talking about how poor the man's record is in the playoffs. Nevermind the fact that he does have a Super Bowl ring.

The main point of my post was to point out how ridiculous your statement "finally come through in the clutch" sounded. So what was that Super Bowl ring? That doesn't count as clutch? I notice how you failed to acknowledge that in your reply.

So anyway, go ahead and rag on Peyton's playoff record. When he wins a few more Super Bowls, it will be moot.

Elway lost three before he won two to finish his career. No one talks about how he was a playoff choker. They only talk about how he was one of the best QBs of all-time.

Peyton wins two more Super Bowls and he will have won 3 out of the 4 he played in. Not a lock by any stretch, but I sure as hell like his chances after witnessing the best four-game stretch of play I've ever seen.

It'll be a hell of a ride. Plenty of room on the bandwagon for all the badmouthers to hop on board in the future. :0corn

Two of the hardest working, brightest minds to ever play the game.

By the way, the Broncos with Peyton are 9-0 SU and ATS, winning by over 18 points per game when they are facing a team that is giving up over a 65% completion rate vs. opposing QBs on the season. Should be an interesting day in Dallas.

I like both of these guys. The WR corps in Denver is very well put together. Plus, Manning makes them all better. Sure is fun to watch. :toast:
