Bottom line it sounds like the casino was a bunch of idiots. Did so much stupid shit (that we know of). Amazing how stupid some of their practices were.

Wow:facepalm:

On the course!

No.......Fucking.........Shit.

Phil Ivey, and the Asian bitch who has been barred from TWO Las Vegas casinos, AND refused her "winnings", are the luckiest Baccarat players in the world!

Kickserv has absolutely NO IDEA how this game is played.

"Hey, Kick? If you knew your first card in blackjack was going to be an Ace, would you bet more?"

"Fuck no! What for? It doesn't make a bit of difference!"

You have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.

You really don't.

You comparing an Ace in blackjack proves my point that you are clueless as to how to play baccarat.

Knowing you have an ACE in blackjack is totally different then knowing what the 1st card is in Baccarat.

Learn math and get back to me. Because I have tried explaining this to you and you are totally clueless.

You do not get it.

You simply have no clue what the fuck you are talking about.

None.

Yep! The whole world is wrong, and you are correct on this.

You just keep thinking that.

One day you will realize that it is not this huge advantage that you think it is.

It isn't.

It is called math.

Kick,

Do you really not think knowing the first card is a 7, 8, or 9 is a big deal?

I agree probably not as strong as an A in BJ, but damn near.

I dont get why a casino would be pissed or hold his money if it wasnt a big deal. I may be missing something.

I really didnt think this would turn into if he had an advantage or not, I think winning $12 million cleared that up, my interest was whether he should get the money.

Was it dishonest or just an angle. Like when clowns try to bet on obviously wrong lines and think they are going to get paid.

That wouldn't happen that often, if you saw the 1st card every 5 or 6 hands how many times would it be an 8 or a 9? Not much. Obviously if it was an 8 or a 9 you'd bet on the side that card ended up on. Obviously if you knew the 1st card was an 8 or 9 your advantage would go up. But one shoe has about 80 hands if even 20 out of 52 cards were "defective" that means you'd see the 1st card maybe 5 or 6 times a cycle. How many of those cards would be an 8 or a 9 not a ton. And how many of those would win? Even if 1st card is an 8 or a 9 your odds of winning are not a lock, not even close.

But no question about it, if you saw the 1st card was a 9......you'd have an advantage that is for sure.

This casino did so many dumb shit we don't know how Phil won.

If he had a small advantage because some cards were "defective" it wasn't his fault.

Pay him.

YYZ thinks it is this huge advantage if you see the 1st card every 5 minutes or so, it isn't. It is an advantage, but not some massive advantage, not even close.

This casino was so dumb maybe they dealt the cards face up and told him to bet after the cards were dealt?

I still say you cannot say Ivey cheated ... he never touched a card .... did he knowingly shoot an angle ... absolutely

everyone is looking for an edge and the blame falls on the casino ... they let the dealer turn the cards ... they let him play the same deck for 3 days ... they let a known player that has pulled same angle many times before play with him ... a woman that is obviously not the wife of the most famous face in the gambling world ... they should lose from plain neglect and ignorance

let me ask you this E ... you are playing blackjack and you are on the corner ... you happen to see the down card for the dealer everytime ... are you going to tell them? NO and it will greatly increase your % by knowing what cards to hit/stand and ESPECIALLY give you way more opportunities for doubling down after the 1st cards are dealt

hell I played a 100% angle on Saturday ... I bet Tiger over Sergio heads up ... never lost in history :0074

Baccarat has a house edge of 1.06%

How much of an "edge" do you need to put the cards in your favor?

If you have a "shitty" break of having the best of it 1 in 20 fucking hands.......that's 5%

Now, I know you are a self-purported math guy. If casinos can make billions of dollars across the globe on a 1.06% margin, what the hell do you think Phil could do with a margin MULTIPLE times greater than that?

If you want to flip coins, and give me a 5% edge, I will crush you. THAT is simple math.

I dont think you get it YYZ, I mean Phil only won $12 million fucking dollars and fucking Kick doesnt think he had a big advantage. He was betting $220,000 a hand, he would have to win 55 more hands then he lost, not even counting the vig to win that amount of money.

He was just on a heater.
