Weasel, sorry to hear of your cat. I hope things are going better. We did get another cat. A kitten my daughter brought home from New York. He is great! I have not been writing much because we have been going through some tough times with our daughter. She seems to be finally getting things together but it has a been a very tough year on us.I hope things are getting better for you. We may disagree on Bush but I think you are a good guy.

ditto,partner...

CIA briefing memo exposes Bush lies on 9/11
By Barry Grey
12 April 2004

The declassification and release of the president?s daily brief (PDB) for August 6, 2001, coming on the heels of National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice?s appearance before the commission appointed to investigate the events of September 11, has thoroughly exposed the official version of the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington as a tissue of lies.

Whatever shred of credibility remained for the Bush administration?s claims that it had no prior warnings of an attack by Osama bin Laden?s Al Qaeda network on the US mainland has been shattered by the publication of the CIA memo, entitled ?Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US.?

The administration?s decision to release the memo, like every other concession it has made to demands for a public investigation of the 9/11 attacks, was taken in a grudging attempt to quell growing skepticism over the official line, and the vocal protests of family members of 9/11 victims, many of whom are outraged over White House stonewalling and sabotage of efforts to uncover the facts surrounding the worst single attack on US civilians in American history.

When the existence of the August 2001 PDB was first revealed in May of 2002, White House officials, first and foremost, Condoleezza Rice, dismissed it as irrelevant. Rice declared at the time that the memo dealt entirely with possible terrorist attacks outside the US. She was, as is now proven, lying then, and, as even a cursory examination of her sworn testimony last week before the 9/11 panel shows, she is lying still.

For nearly two years the White House refused to release the document, given to President Bush more than a month before the hijack-bombings of the World Trade Center and Pentagon. It only agreed to do so in the wake of the controversy sparked by the testimony last month of Bush?s former counter-terrorism chief, Richard Clarke, who told the 9/11 panel that the Bush administration took no serious action in response to multiple warnings of an impending, massive attack within the US by Al Qaeda, and then exploited the death of nearly 3,000 people on September 11, 2001 to implement an agenda for invading and occupying Iraq that had preoccupied Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and company from the outset of the Bush administration.

The content of the August 6, 2001 PDB makes clear why the administration was so reluctant to release the document. It is a clear and stark warning that Al Qaeda is actively preparing an attack within the US, that its previous attacks on US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania show that it has the capability to do so, and that a likely method of attack involves the hijacking of one or more US commercial aircraft.

So McCain is a poor aircraft pilot? Who gives a fawk? Should I post an article about how poor a driver Obama is? Or maybe an article about how Hillary gives bad fellatio, while excelling at cunnilingus? I get it, you do not like anyone associated with the political right. Move the fawk on. Geez!!!!!!!!

This guy is not only a bad pilot, he is a war monger, we are not out of Iraq and he's already talking about bombing Iran. What will this do to the US economy when oil hits $200.00 a barrel? Where will the bodies come from to fight this war? You guys vote party line instead of who will be better for America. Little bit of me wants to see McCain win so i get to see how bad things can get.

Or did someone else say that. I don't have a copy of his book. And question that because I don't believe any service man would ever admitt doing that.

Facts are facts, there was a PDB for 6 Aug 2001, attacks on America. You can have your own opinions but you can't have your own facts.

APRIL 10--Under pressure from the September 11 commission, the White House today declassified and released an intelligence digest given to President George W. Bush weeks before the 2001 terrorist attacks. The confidential President's Daily Brief (PDB) for August 6, 2001 contained a two-page section entitled "Bin Ladin Determined to Strike in US," and refers to possible hijacking attempts by Osama bin Laden disciples and the existence of about 70 FBI investigations into alleged al-Qaeda cells operating within the United States. The August 6 PDB, an excerpt from which you'll find below, was presented to Bush while he vacationed at his ranch in Crawford, Texas. The digest is prepared by the Central Intelligence Agency, an official from which briefs the president on the report's contents. While Bush critics have described the August 6 PDB as a warning of an impending al-Qaeda attack, Condoleezza Rice, Bush's national security adviser, testified Thursday that the document contained "historical information based on old reporting. There was no new threat information."

I am not bound by party lines. I only know my interpretaion of the our current problems and attempt to determine who will do the best job resolving them.

The point is that we need to stop worrying about the background noise which seems to take over every election. Let's keep on issues, not military service records from the 50's or in whose church Obama practices his faith or whether Hillary has a penis.

Aside from my fear of redistribution of wealth from middle to lower class ---which I have expressed here previously--, I need to know which candidate is going to help out in terms of energy policy first and foreign policy second.

The bottom line is our energy policy stinks, and if someone doesn't act quickly, you and I are fawked. We (as in the US) need to develop coal to liquids program, nuclear power program and we must begin to drill ANWAR, Florida coast, etc.

The drilling may cause some ecological problems in the short term, but this multi-faceted plan will also energize our economy, create jobs, stabilize fuel costs, and for the first time in years it will change the world's view of us as a bunch of idiots.

As for Foreign policy, I am not sure anyone could have made more mistakes than GW the past few years. I am clearly ready for change here.

Still, our energy crisis is the key to turning this ship around. I will admit that if "Big Environment" didn't run the democratic party, I would be more inclined to think of Obama as a credible leader given our most pressing issue.

If i were President the first thing i would do is end the war. Make lobbying a crime, do you know that there are 41,386 lobbyists? that's about 77-1 congressman. Give all congressman a budget and that's it, when the money's gone, it's gone. Go after corporations who have off shore accounts for taxes. Pull troops out of Iraq and put them on the Mexico borders until our military is built back up, at lease for 5+ years, while a wall can be built. Universal healthcare, look at who has the best system and copy that, why reinvent the wheel. Creditcard companies can only charge a interest rate that is double of a saving or checking account. If they charge 14%, saving/checking has to be 7%. I got a million ideas.
