Good info. How's the poker treating you tonight? I'm trying to find things to occupy my time as well. I never thought I would utter these words " I want to go back to work", lol. The past few weeks I have been extremely bored but have caught up on some reading. About to finish Bill Simmons 700 page monster "The Book of Basketball" and have watched every friggin TiVo thing.

Feel guilty about being so bored. I need a new hobby or something.

You must be retired? As for the poker, I am in 2 tourney's and I go up and down.. Had a lot of chips but the river has costed me in a big pot.. That is how it goes.. Not playing many hands currently, been a bit dry of late but hanging in there

Lol, I'm 28. I have my own business and work from home but I made a made a promise to a special someone that I would take December off and only work on a plan for the new year both professionally and personally (weight issues).

So besides working out and trying to eat better. I've been doing handy work around the house, shopping, watching tv (tivo) and reading books. And after finishing all of that on the first day I've been twittling my thumbs.

Last one i had i drank to much and puke for a couple of days. couldn't piss. Got some Flomax i think it is called to help piss. Here is the solution Bucks. go sit in a recylner and put a table next to u. Drink and pop Percs when u feel pain. Then wait till u piss the thing out. Sometimes these things are as small as a large piece of black pepper. Ya just got to man up :142smilie Fukin brutal pain. Can't wait for my next one. When u run out of pain pills start worrying. Last one took me three days to pass. Puked every five minutes in the emergency room and even took a small bucket with me. I got a stash of pain pills ready for the next one. Thankgod i don't have an addictive personality like Agent and Jack.

I had so many attacks they actually took one of my Para-Thyroid glands out. That seemed to do the trick but I am still loaded with stones. They only hurt when they are moving or blocking something. Sometimes the pain goes away as quickly as it came. I had them break up a large stone once. They could tell it was too big to pass by the cat scan.
Piss in the strainer and take the stone to the doctor so they can tell you what is causing it.

Good luck.

oh my, I'm so sorry for u and anybody that has a kidney stone.

My experience with stones has been that they hurt like a mf when they are up in your kidney and ureter moving around. Once the stone got to my bladder, my pain stopped. I had absolutely ZERO pain peeing out the stone, and actually, I remember looking down into the strainer and being absolutely dissappointed seeing how small it was. My exact thought was, "That's it?? WTH!!??" That much pain was brought about by this tiny stupid stone?? Mine looked just like a miniature cockleburr.

Whatever you have been told.... the main cause of kidney stones is not being hydrated well enough. Chronic dehydration is pretty common for athletes, and that's exactly why I got mine. Drink plenty of water. Try to cut out the cokes or cut your intake greatly. You sure don't want another one of those things! gl!

Sixfive is right. Dehydration has something to do with it. Drink plenty of water. But always see a doctor. Many times I did not because I thought I knew what it was from going through it so many times. But still there is the threat of infection. And the meds in the hospital are better than the percs. Even if they do take there time to give them to you.

I know this is kind of out of line, but I have to ask it.

Can sex help?
..................................................................

if you try five finger larry while you are passing a stone it will hurt like hell and nothing comes out.

not sure how I know that :scared

if you have a woman with pipes like a vacuum that might dislodge it. Its worth a try. You could write it off as a medical expense.

Bucs-

Have had 3 in the past year worst year of my life!!

Passed 1st one with pain meds.

while trying to pass 2nd one went to ER 2 days out of 3 then went to urologist told let me know if pain gets too bad I can remove it. Asked him doc whats the procedure like he said "we go through the tip of your penis and remove it that way" I said thanks doc but I'll pass. Two hours later I phoned him back and said doc you gotta come and get this thing out I'm dying. Unfortunately it was a friday afternoon he told me admit yourself to the er and I can come in at some point saturday and perform the procedure. well after a night and half a day on a morphine drip he came and took it out. Procedure was no problem as I was put to sleep. Problem was the fing stint and the removel of said stint. Talk about pain and discomfort.

3rd stone they did lithotripsy no fun at all put to sleep once again however upon waking up form procedure sharp sharp pain.

I am a in good shape workout and have a diet high in protein and such with protein supps have stopped taking any protein supps and drink at least a half gallon of h2o per day.

Hope this helps I know the pain it sucks. On a side note my wife also this year had a kdiney stone however she was 4 months preg at the time and had to be admitted for a day in hospital pain subsided but she still has the stone after the pregnanacy she seems to be doing ok as the stone is not too big.

My insurance has a high deductible and needless to say these damn stones have cost me a fortune:mj16:

No five finger larry, just the real deal :mj07:

Just wasn't sure if sex would help any, or make it feel better. I certainly do feel better though.

I guess I wasnt the lone ranger on the stent pain.

Maybe SixFive can come in and answer why they cant give you heavy drugs when they take the stent out.

that doesnt make any sense to put us through that kind of pain.

The scissorhands thing is huge and it goes into your penis hole . :scared

I guess they don't do anything more than a topical anesthetic on the cystoscope because that's usually done in the doctor's office, and they don't want the liability of giving you heavy drugs. With the big drugs to sedate you or even "consciously" sedate you, there are rules and procedures set about in case you crash after having them administered. I guess it could be done at the hospital in an outpatient setting where you could be monitored if you demanded it.
