............................................................I guess they don't do anything more than a topical anesthetic on the cystoscope because that's usually done in the doctor's office, and they don't want the liability of giving you heavy drugs. With the big drugs to sedate you or even "consciously" sedate you, there are rules and procedures set about in case you crash after having them administered. I guess it could be done at the hospital in an outpatient setting where you could be monitored if you demanded it.

I had it in the doctors office so I am sure your right.
Hopefully I never have to have a stent again , but if I do , I will demand they do it as outpatient in the fawking hospital.
