I took Cialis once, didn't do shit besides make me a little tired. I have a Viagra pill one of my buddies gave me about a year ago, I have heard they're better but what do I know because I never took it. I most certainly am not one to judge the effects of those pills.

Count me as one who would love to play NBA hoops, but not sure what that has to do with this tragedy

Lamar chose to be in the limelight from his fortunes/good fortune of playing in the NBA.....If this was a regular Joe on the street not a word would be spoken in the media unless it was a real slow news day....The story was originally written in certain detail to draw responses, they succeeded.....

I don't see this story as a tragedy he OD'ed on booze & boner pills, sad maybe but tragedy no....we all live and hear about unfortunate situations, this story does have some humorous facts to it, like it or not .....:0008

Death of 35yo from OD is a tragedy, like it or not. You are very naive if you believe he OD'd on herbal viagra. I certainly didn't mention the published story had no humorous aspects, so not sure why you mentioned that in your post unless you mistook me for The Mover

I simply didn't understand what our desire to have NBA talent had to do with this, and I still dont:0008

I should have highlighted both quotes, my bad.....

The cocaine info wasn't in the original post from Jack, the story just mentioned ''herbal viagra, adding that he was using ?8 to 10″ pills at a time." that's is what some were poking fun at no more no less and surely not about someone on life support (which came out well after) as some have suggested...

All to often we see pro's that can't handle the fortune and fame that is given to them from their talents....When I was younger I would have given my left nut to be in that position as I sure many here would say the same....We all have our vices but given this type of opportunity I would hope most wouldn't have pissed it away like Lamar is doing/done.

35 is a bit young to be needing "up" drugs. Wonder why he used them? Would've been better waiting in between. He's got all the time in the world!

So not handling fortune & fame was his down fall ? Do you really think that he made a conscious decision that I think I will also become an alcoholic or drug addict. What is your answer for Joe Blow who doesn't have fame & fortune I guess they couldn't handle not having it. It's an insidious disease that tells you that you don't have a problem or it's not that bad. People of means have a harder time quitting because they still have access to money usually it takes some major event , incarceration or death to stop. I may be wrong but I think we have lost some people on this site to addiction.

Sadly, we have lost on this forum, and I bet most of us have lost some in our private lives

I don't know what his down fall in life is nor do I really care......He has/had the life many can only dream about, he chose this route to follow.....If he has the resources to take a weekend and blow 5 figures in a drug, liquor & sex stupor he also has the resources to clean himself up if "he" wants to... his money his life, unfortunately there will be many more like him to follow....:0008

I took it when I was about 30 while at a bar. We met a rep with samples and she gave our group a few. I took one and it made me feel like shit! Gave my roommate the rest

On the course!
I have a hard time feeling sorry for addicts of any kind.

None of this is new. Everyone knows that certain thing we put in our bodies are dangerous. If you choose to think you are impervious to the potential horrors to follow, than that's your bane.

The families I feel for........Not the "victims".

just on a whim?...damn,man.....I know when a doctor prescribes something for me or I decide to try some sort of holistic remedy,i research it as best as possible and take 1/4 of the dose to start(you never know how different things will affect different people).....

my cholesterol was a tad high and I remember taking a small dose of either Lipitor or Zocor....thought I was heading for the emergency room....felt horrific....luckily for me, a 5 mg crestor has no outward effect on me...but the other two I just couldn`t tolerate....I take coq-10 to counteract the negative,non-apparent side effects of the crestor but at a normal dose, even coq-10 is too strong for me......l-carnitine in regular doses (people use it to enhance recovery after a workout) I have to be careful with...most peeps probably not...

that`s about it for me,but you never know when taking stuff for the first time..

not to be overly preachy, always be careful with that stuff....something that seems harmless for most isn`t necessarily harmless for everyone...

me,too....o.t....as long as I`m in here being an old scold before hitting the road again,I always laugh when i hear people bitching about smoking and preaching legalization of marijuana...the pot smokers don`t seem to understand that the hooch also damages everything along the path to your lungs and in your lungs...

inhale and hold that shit in as long as you can....I`m sure your lungs, trachea and cilia are all saying,"thank you, dude !!"....

btw...for 6"5`...how tough is it caring for a totally incapacitated human being the size of odom?.....I have to think that moving or manipulating a human being that size is a nightmare for the nursing/orderly staff....

My dad has always felt the same way as you and Sports, plus he's always contended homosexuality is a choice. He and I are opposed on those topics, but it has been my experience that good folks have different takes on social topics. It is more a matter of how, when and where one was raised among other internal and external factors.

It was a while ago when I took the one pill of Cialis. I was in my mid thirties at the time and thought it would make me Superman with all of the hype around it. They sure as hell know how to make those two drugs look good in the commercials. They receive excellent word of mouth by some frequent users as well. Anyway, only tried it once and never have taken Viagra. Some of my friends swear by it to this day, not me.
