Where it is real F ing COLD
Bought a cheap Acer just for work so I don't have to transport back and forth. Plugged it in and it doesn't turn on. Called support and her first fucking question was, "did you plug it in?" So we did some things but she had to talk to a supervisor a few times. She wanted me to send it in. I said I bought it last night I'll return it to the store. Does it need to charge for more than 4 hours to turn on lol? It has power going to it when plugged in cause the charge light comes on.
Is there a chance I'm doing something wrong?

Bought a cheap Acer. (Not being a dick, but this could be the root of your problem)
Acer doesn't have a great reputation.
You should be able to plug it in and it work (Worst case after 5 min.)

That's what I thought the dell I wanted was out of stock so I'm an impulse buyer an said fuck it, give me that. I only use it for this website, ESPN and fantasy sports oh and a sportbook or two. I figured it would be good enough for that. A big fuck me today trying to do waivers on 4 ffb teams and fantasy baseball playoffs from iPhone. Well at least I have a cake job

Being an Acer - it is still supposed to work.

I doubt you have a cake job. From what you've described in the past it is far from easy.

If you are just using it for internet browsing, don't get an actual computer and get a tablet.

Being unplugged accounts for a higher percentage than it should. That has been the solution to more than just a few of the problems I have dealt with.

If it has power I think it is 1 of 2 things - The physical "power on" button is broken and won't start or your monitor is out and the computer is working fine but you can't see it.

For what you need, you'll be fine with a working acer or the toshiba you described. I work on more Dell's than any other computer - That means that they are popular but also fallible to the same problems all computers experience. Good luck

I really like how small and light weight this is, it's great for having at client's 8 houses. The price was right too, my laptop and windows 8 was really pissing me off as well. No bullshit when you turn this on as well as far as shit advertisements and Norton Malware. This has it's own built in spam and antivirus too. The typing is a little bit different but I am getting the hang of it. Haven't explored too much of what I can do with this cause I have been fighting a head cold and living on day and Nyquil this week.

Appearance is also a very important quality in finding a decent laptop, especially if it's important to impress clients.
