Hedgehog, which do you feel is worse:

a) David Letterman (a single adult) having legal consensual sex with women who happen to work for his show. ..or..

b) the illegal extortion attempt by the other guy.?

It seems that you are more concerned with morals than ethics. ...In fact, that's the problem with most right wingers these days.

smurf, extortion is way worse, I am glad the story came out, I always thought Dave was a clean living guy, his skeletons are being uncovered day by day, hopefully his ratings tank and or he gets fired. By the way Dave had the same girlfriend since 86, and maybe she didn't care he was sleeping with women that worked for him, hell our own President did it 10-12 years ago, and don't get me started on Slick Dick cum stain Clinton. At least Obama seems like he is loyal to Meechelle . There is no excuse for cheating, its the biggest nono of all, thats it, but thats me,I am very loyal person especially my wife.

If extortion is way worse, why did you start this thread with all of your outrage directed at Letterman?

I am glad his skeletons are being exposed, I liked him until June when he made fun of Palins 14 year old child, he should have been fired then. I am sure his girlfriend knew he was shacking up with subordinates at work:rolleyes: hopefully the girls will come out and say he harassed them. Thats it.

he's an entertainer so he's entitled. brilliant. if you don't think there's a cash deal at the end of this story you are crazy. so your occupation determines your moral values? sounds like a california statute.

Here's what I don't get in the thinking there's harassment or something devious involved. In this day and age, with a guy like Letterman, don't you think that something like this would have come to light before now? Don't you think a female staffer who had been harassed, or threatened, or even had not had any of this happen to them would have made this a public thing, sued him, sold their story to NBC, written a book, done SOMETHING to try to make money off of it? It just doesn't make sense to me. I have no way of knowing if anything like that happened or not, but these days, people do that to famous wealthy people all the time. If he did any of these things that you guys are hinting about, then yes, he should face the music. As of now, seems it's between Dave, the women, and his current wife.

Clearly, this guy was trying to make $2 million dollars, and probably resented Letterman for whatever reason. That's the only story we can go with. And while I don't agree with how Letterman treated it in his audience bantered delivery, he definitely stood up and faced it publicly, which is a lot more than I can say about a lot of other people in this position these days that preach about morals and lead another life.

Letterman's been on the air since 1982 and Hedge wants him fired for making a joke about the daughter of a political hack who was a nobody (outside of Alaska) a little more than a year ago.

I've gotta do some research to see if Glenn Beck has a "slow" brother in Manvel, TX he doesn't talk about.

Since somebody quoted the comment, I can see that the facts still don't enter into anything to do with Palin, or her supporters. The joke was about her 18 year old daughter, who was an unwed pregnant girl who had just gotten knocked up in the past year. See, that's what makes it a joke, the fact that she did get knocked up, and of course had had sex, and A-Rod is someone who has sex with women, in New York.

A joke about her 14 year old daughter wouldn't be funny to Dave, or to anyone, really. To think that's what the joke was about just shows a lack of a sense of humor, among other things... but we're familiar with that by now.
