Where it is real F ing COLD
Both of you are in far better shape than HH by looks of your photgraphs. Of course, I have seen more photos of PA in a week than I have of BP in the better part of a decade, but that is a story for another day.

Insanity is very high impact on joints, I know that because I had to stop after 3 days because my "bad" knee was swollen like a grapefruit. Talking with others I've gathered that folks who are grossly overweight (hedgehog) have been unable to keep up with insanity. Insanity is for those who are already in decent shape and want to take it to the next level imo.

Do as you will, but I would do 2 things for a few weeks, then you can consider Insanity.

1. Portion control
2. Exercise 5 days weekly

This is also good advice, get into a shape and then try insanity. I'm not much overweight, just wanted definition and increased stamina for sports. I wanted to challenge myself, hated the gym. Have you received my emails of late?

I am a pro when it comes to gaining weight and losing weight. Wrestled in high school for several years. Here are a few of the things you can do to lose more weight:

1. Go to the gym and lift weights regularly (most people are too lazy to do this)

2. Take a 30 minute walk every day (another one people are probably too lazy to do)

3. Drink A LOT of water

4. Eat fruits and vegetables, avoid dairy, carbohydrates, and sugar (people don't have enough discipline to do this)

5. Try meal sizes with smaller portions.

6. Use supplements like this and this and this.

A few of these I CAN NOT follow at all. I drink -0 water. I eat no veggies or fuits but eat a ton of carbs, dairy, and sugar. Hell it's nothing for me lately to eat half a large jar of Tostitos queso dip and half a bag of Tostitos chips at midnight while watching tv and drink a huge glass of milk to finish it off. PaSprint and I also eat very unhealthy at work. There aren't many places around here except fast food, pizza joints, and hoagie shops. I have my kids every other week and I cook when they are home but when they aren't I sometimes skip supper, I NEVER eat breakfast, and I eat junk for lunch, then snack at night.
When I am on a workout regimen though my eating habits change a little bit. I usually work out at 5am, then have a fruit shake with Whey protein for breakfast with 2 L-Glutamine caplets, eat a crappy lunch, then a somewhat decent supper and then have a good snack in the evenings. I still won't drink water, I like gatorade and will drink that by the gallons. It works for me so you have to find what works for you. :0074

Yes that I did. When I had my two kids I walked out of the hospital in my regular clothing too. It's very easy for me to maintain the perfect weight for myself no matter what I eat. My dad says I'll pay for it sooner or later.

It really is calories in vs calories out and it's much easier to restrain yourself from having an 900 calorie burger and instead have 300 gr of chicken breast which would fill you just as much, probably more, than it is to do 1 hour of Insanity.

Having said that, Insanity is good for cardiovascular health, just like P90x, Crossfit and they do build a little muscle at the beginning which helps increase your Basal Metabolic Rate since muscle burns more calories than fat. However if that is what you want to do there is no more effective way to do it than lifting heavy weights.

I know a lot of people really don't like weights, but that is the solution to build muscle, all other programs are just trying to reinvent the wheel, ineffectively or in most cases inefficiently.

So bottom line is just want to lose weight eat less. Want to eat the same, then excersice. You are hungrier when you workout, build muscle, raise your BMR. Want better health, do some type of cardio, I'd recommend Crossfit as it involves a little weight and some functional movements. It is 80% diet 20& excersice, in order of importance, ideally one would diet (eat right), lift weights and do cardio.

Not sure. I'll mail payment for that contest before long, though. Definitely count me in:toast:

Don't worry, I'm Poon, I'm a simpleton, and I'm present on certain issues.
