Rare poker session; even rarer that's it in the afternoon.

I think that was probably my session high. I started with $200, but after that pic, I got as low as $100. I finished up $54. I wasn't focused enough, and I didn't have my A-game. Happy to book a little win.

On my way out, I hit the full pay DDB machines by the entrance. DDB was 10/6/4 even at the quarter level. My first hand, I drew this, but didn't improve.

I lost the next two and quit with my original $10 since I don't like VP in the first place.

GVR was very nice, and I was impressed with it for sure. I think Whatshisnuts stays there? Maybe somebody else, but I think him. Very nice spot.

Playing with the ambassador of small stakes poker in Las Vegas. Teddy "Iceman" Monroe. He got his bullets cracked by A10 right before I sat down for a monster pot, so he isn't quite as chatty tonight. The guy is growing on me though. I like him just fine. Updates later if anything is worthy.

If a player wins a pot with a pocket pair and makes a boat or better, the next hand, they splash the pot. I played my raggedy Dolly Parton even after a $25 preflop 4 way raise. I flopped two pair and took it down along with the $50 splash pot bonus after I bombed the pot and everybody folded. I never win the promo trash, so that was exciting.

Quick update. Played at the Aria today. Good table, but it went stale, and an older not pretty Asian dealer got in the box, so seeya later. +320

I walked to the Planet Hollywood poker room and waited a little until my seat was available. I went to the top of my list since I have the diamond card.

I played for about two hours, and celebrity number one sat down two to my right. The Trooper! We didn't really talk much at first Bc I was trying to respect his desire to remain sort of ambiguous while playing. Anyway, I stacked off a drunk girl after I raised preflop to 11 with Q♦️J♦️, flopped 5♦️6♦️, turned the 7♦️, checked to induce her bet, check raised all in, and she says she had to call bc she has a straight flush draw. She gets no help on the river, and she gets felted. Bad thing was it was her birthday, and we had just ordered drinks together. Oh well, no mercy, haha!

In her place sat celebrity number 2, Jack McClellan. He worked many years running the WSOP, and started the WPT. A real name in the poker world, and a very nice gentleman. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and playing with him, and I hope to see him again.

Our game was pretty good with a few spewey, horrible players. We took turns picking them off. I quit shortly after I felted two with one hand. I called 2 dollars with QQ, lag made it 10, lag hot Asian girl called, and I called. Flop 1094 rainbow. I check, lag bets 30, call, I ship, both of them go all in, and my Queens hold against JJ and 10K. I racked up $497, and I got a pic with the Trooper. There was nobody around to snap it, so he did a selfie with my phone. I had a great time, and this is realistically probably my last poker session in Vegas.
