Tons of motorcycle cops in LV now. There were 5 of them in a half mile area on South Maryland pulling over people.

Company that rents equipment to the hospital for bariatric patients. I think the name is kind of funny.

One of my co-workers is adopting this dog. I thought it was hilarious. Say "Timmy" the South Park way.

The best fruit in the world is in season. It's called a Black Pluot. These are even better than Kentucky peaches if you can believe it.

Had a good one yesterday.

40 year old patient. Very scraggly looking, and an admitted heroin addict. He's different than most though bc he has nice things. I asked him the day before how much his habit was, and he said $1,000 a day. Most patients I ask its $60-80, so I really did a double take when he said $1000. I asked him then where he got his money, and he said he helped take care of an old man, and he had friends that helped him with his "rock star habit". Security was called to his room the day before and removed a large tin box full of needles and assorted paraphernalia.

At 0800 he's teling me we aren't giving him enough Methadone. He needs more to combat his withdrawal symptoms. I called the doctor and got him bumped from 10 to 20 mg on his dose, and I got him Ativan 2mg ordered as well. I gave him all of it, and he went to sleep. He was sleeping great and being a model patient. I just had to keep his antibiotics and heparin drip going (he has a gigantic DVT in his right calf, and his leg is nearly double the size. Very dangerous.

My CNA walks in the room at 2pm and I hear, "stop!! You can't do that!" I rush in there, and he says "Fuck it! You all need to mind your own GD business!" He then removes the insulin syringe full of heroin from his IV site and plants in hard into his thigh muscle where he finishes the injection. He then says he's getting the fuck out, and he does. He blames the doctor for not giving him enough methadone. He asks for the closest hospital, and he wants to know what to tell the doctor at the next one. I give him a short rundown on his ailments, and he jets with security in tow. Vegas, baby!

I have two idiot patients today because they fired their original nurse. Now I have to have them and try to "make amends". One guy got stabbed and has no insurance. He thinks it is a hotel. He calls constantly for bs. I can't stand him. Having him is torture.

The other guy claims to be a Vietnam vet. He was bitten by a bat, so now he has "seizures" if a needle gets near him. Whatever. I think he's probably a liar, but anyway I have to try to cater to him as well. Terrible day.

Puerto Rico baby!

Don't get me wrong I loved Las Vegas.
Was going to move there but it changed to what i no longer liked. I cd be gone 6 mos and would walk in to the Stardust Sportsbook and 10 people wd walk up and welcome me back. It was a great life. All are now gone. It was literally a daily avalanche of $$.. Ya cdnt spend it all. people that knew their shit inside and out. A fraternity of professionals. Have always loved the Caribbean and all the islands. St Maarten and the French West Indies were favs. But in 2010 i decided to take a break from Vegas and PR just blew me away. End a story !!! My only gripe about PR is the lack of all the food choices you have in Wisconsin. It's unequaled any where in the US. And I have been to every place in the US west of the Mississippi. Limited East Coast. Atlantic City Ugh...!!!New York No Thanks.. 4 of my friends have moved to Florida..visited em all.. No Thanks . None of em evan want to come to Puerto Rico...Different Strokes........

No updates forever. I really need to write more. It's good for me. Since I wrote last, my daughter visited. We did all the touristy things and even went to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon west rim. Fun times, great trip, and a fun time for all. I'll post some pictures of that and some more Fremont stuff. Fremont street really is the place to go in Vegas. Far more fun, lots of free entertainment, better gambling, and always lots of action.

The day we were at the Hoover Dam was the hottest I have ever been in my life. It was 120 degrees, and when we made the walk up to the bridge, it was in the full sun. I have never experienced heat like that [emoji27]

A few pictures I took to try to show the low visibility caused by the California wildfires. Everybody was having cold symptoms and allergy type reactions because of all the ash in the air. It was terrible. It's like it just came to the city and was stagnant over it. No breeze to blow it away for a few days.

We went to the place where they shoot Tanked on animal planet. I think that's what it's called? My daughter watches, and she actually met one of the guys there and got some pics and an autograph, so she was thrilled.

My only poker play in the last month was when I booked this $310 win at Caesars Palace. I won two gigantic pots off of an old man. The kind of player who only plays nutted type hands. The first one, I flopped top two, and he had a flush draw. His flush got there on the river, but so did my boat. I thought my 10s full of Queens might be toast, but they were good when he put me all in. The second time, I again flopped top two, and he called me down with top pair only with a turned flush draw. I dodged and doubled again.

I have been working so much that I haven't gambled much. Also trying to save money and make my money while I can. We are headed back close to home in October. My adventure in Vegas will be complete for now, but we plan to head back west in the new year. Hopefully to California, but it is tough to get a license there.

Our kids are leaving as they can not afford to live here any longer and we will follow our granddaughter anywhere.

Thanks, Eric! I used to go round and round with my boss when I managed bc I always wanted to do extra things and recognize great employees when her philosophy was why should she do anything for somebody for doing their job.
