never realized you were in military....until I read that last thread about "American sniper"

that being said, I don't know many in here who have served.....

marine, your name kind of gives it away....

but just wanted to say thank you to all of you here who have sacrificed more then I or any civilian will really ever know...

not wanting to start a military/political debate.....just simply have never told anyone here thank you and know it is well deserved in any setting, let alone one where I communicate with you everyday during sport seasons

:toast: thanks for keeping us safe

thank you Addict for the kind words, --was stationed at ft bragg in NC w/ 82nd airborne division, 2-325 AIR--didnt go into it as a political statement, just felt like it was something I needed to do in 2003

--needless to say feel blessed beyond words, felt american sniper nailed the emotional struggle between war 7000 miles away and then having to come home and deal w/ "everyday" life--therapeutic in a way, was dead on from my point of view--

later man

I mean this as a thanks for anyone here who has served her at MJ's....

movies like AMerican Sniper and Lone Survivor tell the stories of only a few....

there are a lot of others who have sacrificed equally and deserve their own movies.....

you helped protect me and my family from the evil that wants to destroy our nation

thanks :0008

I went in Apr 2nd 1992, my first duty station was in Watertown, NY with 10th Mountain Division. I got deployed to Somalia for Operation Restore Hope.
I have a deep respect for everyone that has been with 82nd Airborne, 10th Mountain was tough to me but I always heard how hardcore 82nd was.

ooh rah.

Even now as my active duty days are gone, I work heavily with the guys and gals leaving the service looking for their next career... many, many stories to be told of both heartbreak and celebration from those serving today.
