You guys are something else. Just admit it, he knew about the deflating of footballs and used them. Plain and fucking simple. Will he get off? Maybe, but I don't care but I bet he doesn't do it anymore.

Standing up there in his presser denying that he knows anything about it. Gimme a break. :mj07:

"""Mr. Jastremski would sometimes work out and bulk up ? he is a slender guy and his goal was to get to 200 pounds. Mr. McNally is a big fellow and had the opposite goal: to lose weight. ?Deflate? was a term they used to refer to losing weight. One can specifically see this use of the term in a Nov. 30, 2014 text from Mr. McNally to Mr. Jastremski: ?deflate and give somebody that jacket.? (p. 87). This banter, and Mr. McNally?s goal of losing weight, meant Mr. McNally was the ?deflator.? There was nothing complicated or sinister about it."

what are they paying these lawyers?...

Wells, the guy that did the report, is a lawyer. What makes his findings any more significant or true than this lawyer's account?
They both did independent interviews, Wells was paid millions by the NFL, this guy will get paid by the Patriots. Seems like unless you have specific information to the contrary as to ones intent from a text, either explanation has equal weight. They're both ridiculous.

You guys aren't done. You're never done, because it's not done.

When you don't have anything I guess you are done. Those making blanket statements do so with nothing credible from the official Wells report. Makes you wonder where the opinions are formed, out of thin air :rimshot
The truly scary thing would be having them on a jury :scared well, unless you're the prosecutor.

I'm sure everyone would have an absolute shit fit if they were the ones being judged with such thin and ridiculous evidence.

The Patriots added more e-mails to their Wells Report Context opus on Saturday, providing further context to the team?s resistance to give league officials a fifth interview with Jim McNally.

One of the e-mails, sent by Patriots? attorney Daniel Goldberg to Ted Wells and Lorin Reisner, said McNally, ?is a game day only, minimum-wage employee who is not due back to the Stadium for work for another 5 or 6 months. He lives over an hour away from the stadium in NH, and has already missed several days of his full time work to appear for interviews. Rather than having his cooperation be appreciated by the League, League security personnel subjected him to irresponsible accusations of lying to them. Even after that, he came for a full day interview with you, much of which was spent asking him about routine autographing of items by Tom Brady and about texts exchanged with his friend, the team?s Equipment Assistant, months before the AFC Game and asking if he could interpret what someone else put in texts that were fairly obviously part of what could best be described as humorous responses to Tom Brady?s outbursts during the Jets game.?

if you actually believe that they called the guy "deflator" because of his weight(good grief) given all the additional circumstantial evidence ,i can`t change that..you`ve dug your heels in and refuse to budge...when brady`s lawyers made that assertion you could hear the howls of laughter and derision media wide..... what were they thinking?

If you think for one second that wells or the nfl wanted to "snag" a brady(most recent super bowl champ, face of a franchise and one of the premier players in the league) or make life more difficult for goodell defender and good friend bob kraft ,you`re just being a contrarian and not really thinking this through...the nfl had no choice but to investigate the allegations regarding this issue.......

circumstantial evidence is still evidence...even in an actual court of law(which this isn`t).......ask aaron hernandez about that....

as for the folks comparing this with ray rice, those issues are apples and anvils...every occupation has people that violate personal conduct codes.....they`re dealt with and the world turns.... but,if you have issues that bring into question the integrity of the game and nothing is done to address it,your entire business model can be jeopardized....given this isn`t the pats` first go-round as far as allegations of rule breaking, there had to be an investigation......

.the nfl is forced reluctantly(i`m sure) to deal with personal conduct issues just like any other high profile corporation or business..they vary in severity and manner.....but it`s "imperative" that they deal with allegations of "integrity of the game" issues even when the accused is the higest profile qb or one of the commissioner`s best league friends.....

biig difference between individual personal conduct issues and integrity of the game issues...

there was no "get brady and the pats" conspiracy here...that`s ridiculous....goodell`s the ceo...this falls on his watch....no way in hell this is what he wants after the concussion scandal and the spate of personal conduct issues..i`m sure he would have loved to slide this under the carpet...but theres just too much circumstantial evidence to ignore....

I was saddened when some ravens` fans tried to excuse ray rice`s bludgeoning of his fianc?e like a baby seal and then dragging her around some hotel lobby like a sack of laundry...disgusted me actually....but I see the same sort of attitude coming from some pats` fans ("he may be an s.o.b.,but he`s OUR s.o.b.) and hardcore contrarians....unfortunately for those folks, the majority of the public sides with the hated goodell on this one...

I`m glad the nfl is making it known that these sorts of shenanigans won`t be tolerated and that they`ll stand up to intense pressure to maintain the game`s integrity...

silly to keep going back and forth...you aren`t changing my mind and I`m obviously not changing yours.....we`ll see what the final ruling is and that will be that(again,I predict 2 games and the message sent that you don`t play fast and loose with the integrity of the game regardless of who you are)....

I agree about the deflator, it's absurd but Nobody has answered why were 3 out of the 4 colts footballs below psi? why do they not check 12 of their balls like they did the Patriots. you check 12 of one team and 4 of another seems like an agenda to me

Weasie,
Thank you for completely proving my point, unfortunately it wasn't covered in your post. My point I mean. I never said anything about believing that "deflator" meant losing weight. That's your assumption of my thoughts. You also assume that I'm being a contrarian which is presumptive. I would hazard to say that you're being a contrarian actually.

I'll say it again. There is no evidence that Tom Brady asked anyone to deflate footballs below the legal limit in order to gain an advantage in a game. You keep coining "circumstantial" evidence as being the mitigating factor in this, then got bring up Aaron Hernandez. He was placed at the scene of the crime, he had the weapon used in his home. His girlfriend testified against him. That is not even remotely like this issue. Why is it that you completely disregard the text about a ball being measured at 16 psi? It isn't until after that text that the "deflator" text is sent. Since you are assuming that he's guilty how is it so impossible for you to discern that maybe, just maybe, Brady said something to his equipment manager like wtf? 16 psi? To get that ball within legal limits guess what McNally had to do. ......let air out if the ball. How does that situation not present itself to be more probable than Brady cheating? Nothing in any of those texts would stand up as enough circumstantial evidence to say Brady is guilty of deflating or ordering balls be deflated below legal limits anywhere anytime.
Also, your point about integrity of the game is baseless to me. If he was looking to maintain integrity than he would have to suspend Luck, Rivers, Rodgers, Kaepernick, Bridgewater, Stafford, and Newton. All have been involved in altering footballs by admission or by being caught on tape during a game. The Colts balls were similarly deflated yet you're not calling for punishment there? Integrity of the game speaks to every player and every team, so unless your as adamant about suspensions to all those players you're not really maintaining any integrity at all are you?
Another thing, you keep insinuating that the Patriots are these big time cheaters. The Jets got caught spying too remember? The Saints are cheaters. As a matter of fact every team has been caught cheating at some point.
I'm sorry brother, but you're having to make far too many assumptions to call him guilty. Just like you assumed I agree with the deflator comment being about weight when there is absolutely zero evidence of me ever saying anything if the sort.

If you want to maintain the integrity of the anything, equitable and fair treatment of all involved would certainly need to be a tenet of that don't you think?

Regardless of all that, I respect you and your opinion, I just don't agree with it. I personally believe that most that say he's guilty simply want him to be guilty because he beats their team, or they don't like him for whatever reason.

On another note, when I reread the post it occurred to me that if may come off as being a bit harsh but it certainly isn't intended that way. I tend to be too direct at times so I apologize if that's the case.
