I'm sorry to hear you are sick!! Please don't confuse some of us that have commented on Sapps actions that day as Packers fans. I for one have my own set of problems being a Cowboys and Texans fan. The hit he delivered was the least of my concerns. I expect that of people like him, but his aggression is poorly placed when addressing another coach that is in a position of authority and his language in front of TV cameras should be "X" rated.

Hope you feel better soon, Topdog

Sapp's conduct to the coach after the game shows to me a very immature disturbed person and that was more offensive than the hit on the field...

Do you think Warren has made a trip to the hospital where Clifton has been for almost a week?

Maybe he went there and told Chad he was sorry for hurting him?

That would take almost no effort, and show some sense of concern, and decency.

If he doesn't have the time to do that small gesture, then he really is an asshole.

These guys always talk about how "I'm one way on the field, but not like that in person." Well, show some class.

No YYZ he didn't go near a hospital. Underneathe his big mouth he knows most of the players think he's one big ass hole for that hit. I would guess his thought are am I now marked for a hit or two extra. Not right away Sapp-ee. They let things cool a bit then some one going to get those knees of yours. Won't even be in agame vs GBay. By the way on his radio show Sapp got a little heat and almost apologized. But instead said he was hoping that guy would get up from the field on his own. Wow almost Sapp. No he thinks he is dead right. Guys like that always get it sooner or later. And for those who said he broke it off with GB coach. Wrong GB coach turned away from him and walked the other direction. As many above have said if Clifton was QB. That would have cost Sapp at least 25 grand and 1 maybe 2 games. But what the fu?/ just a big old Off's line man who gives a shit. Sapp didn't.

Do you guys realize that the G.B coach walked all the way across the field and waited almost 5 minutes for Sapp to finish an interview so he could get in his face. And you guiys are blaming Sapp for being confrontational. Gimmee a break. Another thing is that you Sapp haters have no Idea what was going on all day on that field. I do not see how you can sit in judgement until you walk a very long time in one of their shoes. He played it by their rules. END OF STORY. ENOUGH OF THIS CRY BABY S**t .

By the way good luck to everyone this weekend

It's nice to see a "killer instinct" like this on TBay???? My definition of "killer instinct" must be different. And Frank, by the way, good luck on your games this weekend!

Rizzo,

I don't think it's 'crying' to ask a guy to do the right thing. What's so hard about saying, "Hey, man......I didn't mean to hurt you, I was just playing te game."????

His attitude throughout, seems to be one of "Fuhk him, and fuhk you!"

Maybe Sherman did wait to confront Sapp.....so what? I guess he could have ran at him, full tilt, while he was giving that interview, and jumped off his feet, to blindside him!

A lot of people do the wrong thing......I don't need to walk a mile in their shoes to know that.

Well, just got done listening to the "Sports Reporters" on ESPN and it was refreshing to hear these guys discussing the Sapp/Clifton incident and to the man said all the same things I stated early on in this thread, same as Tom Jackson did LW after the the game.

Remember T Jackson, he played the game and very well also.

Once again this is the NFL and Sapp did his job and all you Packer fans get over it and all the others that claim they are not Packer fans, bullcrap. You're either a Packer fan or a sissy:D

Would you expect the peons at ESPN to do anything other than suck a big name player's dick?

Again.......If Clifton laid out Sapp, these same nobody "reporters" would have been calling for a league investigation!

What goes around, comes around.............

I am so sick of the Packer fans who are always crying when one of their guys gets his ass kicked.
Brett Favre hits a guy who is 5 yards out of bounds and all that is said is he was "frustrated".The league actually did hand down a fine on this "thug".
I can almost guarantee that when Warren hit this guy he thought he had just delivered a hell of a hit ,( How would he know about internal injuries,) therefore the cause of the celebration.
The only thing wrong with that hit was the guy got hurt.
Ray Lewis puts a hit on a Denver Bronco player and since the player got up it was a great hit.
The great thing about this is it only adds fuel to a great rivalry..

But all Smack aside , My prayers are with this player and hope he has a full recovery and is back playing next season.

See ya in the playoffs Packers.....

YES, Brenda, let me spell it out for you in case you didnt understand--

Sapp is a G-H-E-T-T-O T-H-U-G!

I listened to Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson and James Brown today and they ALL said that although it was a legal hit, they did NOT consider it to be healthy for the game, not necessary, and basically a cheap shot. Those guys played a little football too if I remember correctly, seems like Bradshaw has FOUR Superbowl rings.

And since I'm not a Packer fan I suppose that makes me a sissy since I think that Sapp is a thug who has no business in the game and the sooner someone cripples his big fat loudmouth ass the better. But, I should expect nothing more than simple name-calling from anyone who can support an on-field mugging like that. Simple minds cannot comprehend the complexity of this situation and resort to juvenile trash talking - much like your hero Sapp. If he was a real man he would at least have the decency to visit Clifton in the hospital - but he's not a real man at all, just an overgrown, physically blessed ignoramus. Fortunately Sapp is only involved in football at this point and when his career ends (soon, I hope) he will be forgotten quickly, just another stupid animal relegated to the trash heap of sports history.

But then, I'm just a sissy. What would I know? Hell, I still believe in sportsmanship, integrity, honesty, old-fashioned sh*t like that. I know that those things have no place in the NEW sports that have been taken over by the loud mouths like Sapp and it truly saddens me to see it happen.

I wonder what Butkus thought of the play. Or better yet what would he have done if he saw a fat offensive linemen who fell asleep on the Football field. How about Ray Nitchke? Bubba Smith? Maybe you clowns should watch soccer.

Everyone else has had a go.....

Everyone else has had a go.....

so why not me too :D

Firstly, ctownguy: I am neither a Packers fan nor a sissy ...but the thing the ESPN guys didn't mention was the laughing and high fives afterwards.

Here in Oz, we play AFL and any chance to take out an opposition player legally you do it. Simple.
From that point of view there is NO PROBLEM.

But the laughing, the excitement, the (as someone else said) absolute lack of remorse and respect for the player involved is the sad part.

"If I was 25, had no kids or a conscience, I would have gone him!"....honestly...what kind of comment is that!
It says to me, "I've a mind of a 20 year old, and I'm too famous to have a conscience".

As for the generation gap....I'm 26....Not in the least religious, or 'sissy' like!....I've been knocked out numerous times on a football field, and am the first to have a beer with the guy who did it after the game..............

...The point is....they offer afterwards...not laugh in my face.

Name calling is a far step from accepting objective opinions and discussing them. I can only think that many people here like Skinar, and me and others imagine that fallen player, as a friend or family member and then form an opinion as to the need for this type of play in the future. I'll now address the Sissy remark. Even a child could have enough imagination to come up with more possible choices than the two you listed.
If I were prone to be drawn into these attempts of yours at personal attacts of everyone here without a Green Bay avatar, I might write something like this: Maybe someone here that has the term sissy on his mind and an avatar that certainly does not show support for the Packers, and the need to list GUY in their forum name, is insecure with their masculinity, or worse, like using this post as a dating forum, looking for a dancing partner for the Blue Oyster Bar Dance Contest.
Thank goodness I detest name calling and personal attacts in a forum designed to pool information and help each other win at sports gambling.
I appoligize for any typos I may have made!

ROTFLMAO!

Since everyone else has piped in, why not me?

Yes, it was legal, yes it was "cheap". But the GB coaches have stepped so far out of bounds on this that it's hard to be mad at Sapp any further. The GB coaches have shown less class than Sapp, if that is possible. Yes, it must have angered them to see Sapp celebrating that he just hurt a guy, but, I'd bet dollars for donuts that Warren didn't realize the extent of the injuries. He probably just figured he cleaned the guys clock, and that sure can be fun, in case you've never done it.

The Green Bay coaching staff has got no business saying the things they've said, to Warren and to the media. None at all. They are endorsing thuggery (is that a word), essentially putting a bounty on his head, and that is much worse than anything Warren did or could have done. I know I sure wouldn't want to play for Green Bay right now, cause if I were on the other team, I'd be doing the same sh*t that Warren did to their players. Once you declare open season, it's open season on you too.

My two cents.
