Hey gardenweasel, per your request I'll forego the quotes, I never found it condescending, it's used a lot in other forums when debating so that it's easier to address each topic without getting things even more confused than they usually are.

First of all, perhaps I'm wrong about Sapp. It was an observation of mine and if I know one thing in this world it's that I don't know everything (try to draw a logic diagram of that statement). Personally, I don't think Romo is racially motivated, I don't think I said that, I agree with your comparison to Conrad Dobler. They were both equal opportunity with their dirty tricks.

However, I think I DID make my point that it is nearly impossible for a white guy to criticize a black guy on racial grounds without him getting his head torn off by the crowd. You saw what happened - and I knew someone would step up to the plate to call me a racist, I just didn't know who it would be.

So, in the end, I'm Billy Bob, Sapp is still playing, Clifton is getting better I hope, and hopefully Tampa Bay and Green Bay will meet in the playoffs. And I hope that someone tears Sapp a new asshole when they meet. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Good Luck to All (including Bobby Blue Chip)

:D

i think most have made their points in this debate eloquently and it has obviously become a very heated topic....and i can`t disagree that you have to be very careful in this politically correct world run amuck that we live in........ where mere words can cost a man his good name, his reputation and his livelihood......that is truly sad....nothing i have said here was meant as personally disparaging to any poster on this board...g.l. everyone.

wow..cant we all just get along.

And Skinar maybe i cant (grasp ) what you are saying , but maybe i can. And if you wish to continue your petty personal attacks on me then so be it , I really dont care.
I come to this forum to talk Football and learn Sports betting from these guys , and you also. I have read a few of your post about a particular game and believe you have very good knowledge of the game.
As far as Sapp goes , Maybe he is a Racist maybe he isnt ..I dont know and I really dont care.
He has done alot of tremendous work here in the Tampa area which alot of people , me included truly appreciate.
I hope we can bury the Hatchet and get back to what we came here for , which is to win football bets..

by the way , load up on the Bucs this week against the Falcons.
we will destroy them in our house......( I hope...)

Ok lets stop and go this direction. Lets say that was his friend Bret Favre jogging around out there. Would Sapp layed that shot on him? My answer is hell know. He may have gave him a good shove. But that would have been about it. Same thing he only had to do to Clifton. then he gets on some show and tryes to plead his case its just football and it happen evergame. Not to that degree that far from the play. I say if that was Favre he would have acted differant.

On the course!
Dave,

He would have LOVED to ended Favre's carreer! Make no mistake about that.

I almost puked at this ass, on his "Sunday Conversation" with Suzy Colber. These fuhkers ask these watered down questions so they can stay in the good graces of these superstars, instead of asking them the real questions. And this buffoon has the gall to say how Sherman was in the wrong, and "violated my space". He said something to the affect of, "This was my moment, and he tried to ruin it."

Yeah......it's all about you, jackass. Looks like New Orleans got in his "moment" last week, and Atlanta will next.

When Colber mentioned that Clifton was just getting released from the hospital, and how did Sapp feel about that, the guy showed no remorse. Now, I'm not saying he needed to appologise. I'm not saying he needed to shed a tear. But, the guy could have said that he was wishing him a speedy recovery, or some shit like that! (I think he would perceive this as a sign of weakness, in his steroid induced, macho world.)

I still think he's a punk.

A few points

A few points

This can all be healthy conversation and a great place to vent if we all consider a few points and agree on them.
Skinar and others are stating their opinions!! An opinion is seldom debatable, IT's AN OPINION!! I live in the south where the Rebel Flag still means a lot to many of us, but other opinions difer, as stated in this forum. Most places have been forced to remove this Flag that is a big part of our past, based on others opinions. We have many friends and family members named Billy Bob, and the context that it was used in here is more offensive to me than being called a honky, or white trash. I seldom take offense at others opinions since America was built on just this right. One last statement before a question. I've always heard that Arkansas, was the incestial breeding capital of our nation, but I won't believe it since I have a lot of friends and family there, but the way Bill Clinton uses his cigars makes you wonder. It seems to me that prejudice means to prejudge, which I believe we all do! Most other countries care little about U.S. problems until some terrorist says that their country is next. Most southerners would rather be called a Billy Bob than a used car salesman. Often times results show that other races are more biased against your race than you are against theirs. Think about that!! Now a question for all here.
How many people think O J Simpson got away with murder??

Keep it Positive, Topdog

Congratulations

Congratulations

Skinar you just won the madjackass of the year award. How anyone could interpret someones motives on the football field from their couch as racially motivated takes balls or ignorance. I don't know too many racists that I consider courageous, so I will go with the ignorant.
