since i'm guessing we might have a max of 18 members playing, i'm thinking 3-man teams and 6-somes? i guess it depends on how many come to play.

the course is new and not very busy although it could be by july 14th, but i'm also guessing that we will be teeing off around 1pm so it shouldn't be busy at that time, only hot out.

6-somes good! We can do a bankers handicap along with the regular scoring, closet to the pins, longest putt, long drive, 50/50 raffles, the whole bit. Should be able to make sure everyone wins something.

HH offered to bake a few goodies for us to munch on:00hour

Can't use it as the 'primary' winner but you can have reg and bankers. It is completely random and no way to figure who will win it till it's over.

Depending on # of entries, maybe make DTB, me, other good players captains and let us pick our teams at a big calcutta party the night before. Or at the least we do a blind draft.

Count me in. Haven't played golf in a while, but I should still be able to shoot in the 90s at least. I know of 1 friend I could bring, and more if you need them to get the numbers up.

this is the official commitment list. please, please, please don't get on the list if you can't make it. as far as i know, if you're on the list you're going to be there.

the golf tourney is july 14th and spend the night july 14th. let me know if the wife or GF is coming with you as well.

so far if you said you would make it, you're on the list. i didn't put you on the list if you said maybe. please ask to come off the list if you find out you cannot make it.

because of slow season for the books and i don't have a confirmed sponsor yet (i will, no worry) you can bring a guest but one room for one night per madjacksports member.

that's about my play right now too. i only play scrambles twice a month and have no idea what i would shoot stroke play.

this course has woods on both sides of the fairway on every hole. the fairways are pretty wide for most holes but i still find the woods on a lot of holes too which results in doubles and triples.

all the par fives are reachable in 2 perfect shots from the whites.

par 71 with 4 par 5's and 3 par 3's.

i'll try to find if they have a website so you can see the layout but i kinda doubt it yet. i can't even remember the name of the course right now. lol

if nothing else, i'll take a pic of the scorecard and post it.

Maybe Bleed and IE can peel off a few beans from their 1st Communion money and make it. Watching Bleed play a patient sport like golf while you got a nice buzz has to be better than gambling. (insert scene when the Judge throws his club and whacks the old lady eating)

--some thoughts

I think 2 threesomes playing together would be fun--for simple reason of getting to spend enjoyable afternoon with 3 more comrades.

Would not be too concerned on how teams are chosen--and think we can take most at their word on quesstimated handicap--its a fun time--not the masters :)

Might have one suggestion on format -other than age assigned tees ;) and that is to let the player on each team with least experience or injury have 2 putts on each hole.

Has been my experience it makes things much more fun for them as it makes them key contributor despite experience/injury and also would be for making them captains of their respective teams.
