A minor setback to dinner, that could turn out to be a major setback... had prepared three nice chicken breasts to cut up for ka-bobs, went outside to move the water in the yard, after feeding the dog, thinking I should just take him out now...

Came back inside to see the dog cowering by the couch, licking his lips (panic sets in now). I walk out to the kitchen, to see an empty plate where the three nice UNCOOKED chicken breast were. I assume the dog ate them, and not the stepson, since they were uncooked. I don't think after 6 beers I would be too drunk to remember cooking or eating them, either.

So, now, I have a golden retriever that has just ingested his regular full bowl of food, along with 3 uncooked chicken breasts. Starting to do the math of what the vet bill might cost me...

How yummy could ALL THREE OF THE FUCKING UNCOOKED CHICKEN BREASTS be?!?

You could ask the niece what she would do?

Haven't started those festivities yet, but the dog will be spending a lot of quality time in the outside kennel for a couple days.

#8, just starting to cook up the chicken chunks in a nice Baja Chipotle sauce, pepper are cut up, almost ready for assemblage.

Dog still in kennel, looking, um, full.

Checked outside, looks like the niece next door showered and cleaned up nicely. Decided to take a shower in case she sits by me at the fire. :SIB

Thanks, Jack, fair enough. Verified with the neighbor that the fire is on, he's going with vodka on their end, so we should have a pleasant evening. The niece seems strangely disinterested in me thus far - just wait til she hears some of my 8 to 9 beer humor...that should warm her up... kurby

Assembling the ka-bobs, opening up #9, and deciding not to study any more tonight, other than my wonderful food, two hot blondes, and a few more beers.

Dog seems to be dealing with the chicken dinner pretty well... :thefinger
