i like the aladdin but what really seals the deal for me is, i am set up for full comps. rfb and gourmet. i guess it isn't the aladdin anymore but i'm still on the program :D

plus, i prefer staying on the strip anyway. last year, staying at sunset, i didn't even feel like i was in vegas. know what i mean?

Jack is set for life there ,Him and Matt and Jack sr. If you stay at the Aladdin which is a very nice place, they will keep the name btw jack till the whole outside is done and the planet hollywood huge 800 foot sign and globe gets put up showing who is on stage each week, it will take till june of 2005 for that and the entreance to the strip and the huge preforming arts center which will be named the planet hollywood theatre , jerri said for the big fights they will get in now that they will be in the fight game you will get tickets to them and will be emailed on all the big fights, but what i was going to say ar if you stay at the aladdin and give them good play 25-50 bucks a hand for about 6-7 hours straigh till they rate you, then you are set for life with full comps, as long as you play when you come back each time, just make sure you use data port for pc not the phone line right jack;)

So Cal
I will definitely be there and am bringing the wife this time. What sort of play will get you comped there? Might be worth it to pay a visit well before Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is Sunday, February 6, in case anyone wonders.

This looks fantastic. Excuse my ignorance (I haven't been to Vegas in about 10 years).... Can someone fill me in on what the smoking policy is in the sportsbook/casino? Here in Canada you can't smoke anywhere anymore. Would be nice to be able to just sit and enjoy the game for a change, or play blackjack for hours on end without having to step outside for a puff.

Thanks for all your hard work guys. I'm going to do my best to make it down there this year! Might also be in the market for a roommate to split the cost of a room with, if I can't persuade my buddies to join me.

GM as a none smoker i get as much smoke as i need in a casino or being around Raymond:D You can smoke till you turn green no-one will say anything. just don't smoke where it says no somking section in the book is all, which is a very small section and it happens all the time some ass sits down and lites up in the only little section we have to keep from having the smoke blowen in are face, makes me want to spit my copenhegan in there face. but you can smoke most anywhere in a casino that law about no smoking will never fly in vegas casinos hell you have the people pulling their O2 tanks around with the stick burning in their mouth, you need a O2 tank to breath think it is time to give up the smokes they have the nose tubes pumping O2 in their body and blowing out smoke from their cigs they love so much, just waiting one day for someone to blow themself up can't be to safe smoking with a O2 tube stuck in your nose connected to a tank and a lit object hanging out of your mouth. but to each their own just don't blow it in my face and i won't spit on theirs is how i look at it.:D

GM there is always someone looking to split a room if you can't get a friend to come with you, stupid to stay by yourself , so just keep asking once people start to say they are coming there is always a single person who would like to cut cost which is smart why have 2 single rooms when you can split the price with someone who you will be around with for 3 days anyway. So you won't have a problem getting someone to split with you if you come down alone.

:142lmao: :142lmao: ...I see that all the time...I am a smoker myself but like you said when the tank comes out it is time to give it up

GM....yeah its cool smoking there...you almost feel like you are doing something wrong by smoking in the Casino while playing games or sports.....also...I tend to smoke about double the amount when I am there so make sure to bring alot of smokes because they charge an arm and a leg there

Ya...if the games/bets are close my cig consumption goes up dramatically too. LOL. I'll be bringing my own smokes...can't smoke American cigarettes. If I smoke a pack of those the smell is in my clothes for weeks. (Probably the same for Cdn smokes, but they smell different and I don't notice it as much).

As for expensive.... I'm sure smokes in Vegas don't cost $9/pack ($7 US) like they do here.

Note to self: O2 tanks are allowed too. Great. :)

Now I just gotta figure do I go super-cheap on the motel or not? I don't really plan on using the bed a whole lot. Hell, just as long as it HAS a bed and a shower, that's all I need. The room can be 500 feet underground, I don't care. I'll only be there when I reach the exhaustion stage. Probably will sleep there once in the 3 days I am there.

yes your not in room that much check out rates at the imperial palace right in the middle of the strip and should be able to get a room for about 65-75 a night if you book early they have a web site you can check it out on. Why spen 225 to 300+ a night when you can get the same there and be right in the middle of the strip.

TBONEZ:
"So the bugs at the Imperial palace don't eat you alive while you sleep"...

...I don't think that is a fair accusation to make!

I have lived in Vegas for >10 years and I know firsthand that "bugs" are a problem everywhere here. You must have a pest control program here! I'm sure the Imperial Palace has such a program. Now have there been failures or could there have been failures in such a program? Of course! But I am sure, and more importantly, any prospective visitor to Las Vegas can rest assured that every hotel in Vegas does and will continue to do the utmost to insure that "bugs" are not a problem for their guests!

By the way, there are many more important reasons not to go to the Imperial Palace....1) it's old and relatively dirty compared to the newer hotels in Vegas....2) parking is impossible!...3) the sportsbook, while offering the largest menu of Superbowl prop bets, is nevertheless cramped, crowded, and again, relatively dirty....etc.etc.etc....

But there are many reasons to choose the IP...1) it's relatively cheap!...2) nice location (if you're not driving and don't have to park), you can walk to a dozen or so Strip casinos and the monorail has a stop there also...3) did I mention it's cheap?

Another small, relatively cheap casino is the San Remo. It's also kind of old and relatively dirty, but will be refurbished in the next year or so as it becomes the new "Hooters" casino. It is right next to the Tropicana, and across the street from the MGM, and within walking distance to NY-NY, Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay. Monorail station at the MGM to connect to another 10 or so casinos!

Hope to meet many of you at the SB party! MadJohn

Just got in i am tired i will write it on wen. It was a nightmare for them their first time out here, i have sent many people there looking not to spend a mint most of the time guys and at that time did not know how much time T would be in the room but she will never step back in the place, for what this guy wants it is perfect and never had a problem with anyone there most just sleep there and hit all the other places around, but trust me poor T had nightmares for a year .blackwater:D:D:D

John you are right but it is not a trash pile and for some one looking for cheap cost cutting room but yet want's to be in the heart of the strip it is perfect because of it's location, it is not as dirty as you make it seem to be now those back apartment things they have are another story, it is more old and not as bright with the colors inside but for a bunch of guys who don't want to spend 199 at the aladdin and paris or even higher at mgm or mandalay just for a reg room it is great. Don't go there if you are going to rent a car it is a place to stay if you are a walker, hell you could spend 30 mins trying to get out of there, san remo is about the same, the best deal but need a car about half mile from the strip not far from hard rock though is terrible's hotel and casino they did a great job with the rooms when they took over 4 years or so ago.

But T had everything go wrong and i would of left also not the place to really stay if your there with a lady who wants to enjoy the room and relax sometimes, it is a place to sleep when you must and hit the other places but will tell story on thur was funny as hell but it all worked out and ray left last night making major money on a 7 team parlay, will add that in the story because the place we were at was like we weere in the bronx or liberty city in miami after midnight, we were at the new frontier why they were on strike not staying there but in the sports book. will tell story on thur funny as hell..she did end up getting a nice mini suite at the flamingo for a great price thanks to their nightmare:D
