TBONEZ:
"So the bugs at the Imperial palace don't eat you alive while you sleep"...
...I don't think that is a fair accusation to make!
I have lived in Vegas for >10 years and I know firsthand that "bugs" are a problem everywhere here. You must have a pest control program here! I'm sure the Imperial Palace has such a program. Now have there been failures or could there have been failures in such a program? Of course! But I am sure, and more importantly, any prospective visitor to Las Vegas can rest assured that every hotel in Vegas does and will continue to do the utmost to insure that "bugs" are not a problem for their guests!
By the way, there are many more important reasons not to go to the Imperial Palace....1) it's old and relatively dirty compared to the newer hotels in Vegas....2) parking is impossible!...3) the sportsbook, while offering the largest menu of Superbowl prop bets, is nevertheless cramped, crowded, and again, relatively dirty....etc.etc.etc....
But there are many reasons to choose the IP...1) it's relatively cheap!...2) nice location (if you're not driving and don't have to park), you can walk to a dozen or so Strip casinos and the monorail has a stop there also...3) did I mention it's cheap?
Another small, relatively cheap casino is the San Remo. It's also kind of old and relatively dirty, but will be refurbished in the next year or so as it becomes the new "Hooters" casino. It is right next to the Tropicana, and across the street from the MGM, and within walking distance to NY-NY, Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay. Monorail station at the MGM to connect to another 10 or so casinos!
Hope to meet many of you at the SB party! MadJohn
