I've had that time etched in my mind since tee times were made.

I'm a little put out. Last week, I state I can't make it having already purchased a room and golf for the weekend.
Saturday I get an unsuspecting phone call that I couldn't get a refund without my even asking. Multiple text and phone calls.
Today I read FDC is going to stay in my place without so much as a thanks, offer at compensation, or anything.
Maybe I grew up a little different, but if there were people who didn't have a room that were going, and everyone knew my spot was available, somebody should have pointed out this instead of free boating at the last minute.
That's all I'm going to say but it's not how I do things.

Hey man, here's the thing. When I called you and said "no refund" I was saying it like "Hey man, sorry you can't make it and I can't give you a refund..." before I could even say "....wish it was a few weeks earlier and I could have taken care of it...." you were already getting defensive. Buddy, I was sympathizing with you, not saying "you can't go? No refund sorry bout your luck and take it in the ass."
I don't want you to think I was being a dick. Nole and I were just talking about how you will be missed. Either way, have a good weekend.
Also, if FDC is in fact taking your room, he had better send you a fucking case of your choice and big thank you.

No, FDC should pay back Woody as a nice gesture since he decided to go last minute and Woody had the misfortune. Woody reaches out to everyone on this site in his travels. Sheesh!! Would this not be what everyone on here would do if it were you taking a paid spot? Same guy cant even return a guys golf club out of respect and laughs about it. Total lack of character if he doesn't do it this way.

Boys, I hope a great time is had by all. Be careful and at the same time raise some hell. I will miss being there, but had no choice with my job. Hit them long, hit them straight, putt them crisply, and no 4 putts.

Let me start by saying thank you, however, that isn't how it happened at all. I am not free boating whatsoever and was talking with LawT about something when he said you weren't going after all and suggested I stay with him rather than with Jack. That is all, other than some other circumstances beyond my control that I would happily discuss PRIVATELY with anyone I considered a friend such as yourself, that was discussed. If you prefer I won't stay with Lawrence, he was simply being considerate of my circumstances.
