When I turned 15.5 in March of 69, bought a 64
SS Impala, worked at my Dad's boat factory, paid
at one time during a gas war .19/gal. gas, and we
drank beer like fish, .99 cents a 6/pack, would go
to a bar both in OK and Baxter Springs KS at that
age and drink ICE COLD MUGS of Shlitz and shoot
pool, actually hustled 8 ball, 9 ball, and snooker
games at that age, (had a thick slate snooker
table in house), THOSE WERE THE DAYS

:00hour :00hour :00hour

got my first car in 1968 before i had a license...was a 1962 ford falcon with the stick on the column...paid $200 for it & the ins. was about $400.....:mj07: everybody who drove with me wound up leaving the car with whip lash...didn't drink beer but remember weed went for $15 an oz....& my friends & i had to beg borrow & steal for those $15...those were the days...:142smilie

Mexican and Acapulco Gold any time, any day.

Then the Columbian came around, 20 bucks a
