Playing at Houston allowing 93 ryg and
home against Green Bay allowing 114 ryg
.

Dickerson's record was once thought to be unbreakable, but we never thought we'd see anyone run like Peterson after a major knee procedure, either. At 1,812 yards through 14 games, Peterson would need to average 147 in each of his last two regular-season games to make history.

The Texans can clinch home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win over the visiting Vikings this Sunday

Atlanta can clinch home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win over the struggling Lions on Saturday night.

By outscoring their opponents by a combined 91 points over the last two games, the Seahawks are now 9-5 and have put themselves in position to clinch a playoff spot with a win over the 49ers, at home, on Sunday night.

Giants remain in control of their destiny. Win out and they're in the tournament. They could also be bounced from the playoffs with a loss on the road to the Ravens, wins by the Redskins and Cowboys, and a win or tie by the Seahawks in Week 16

A win on the road this Sunday against the two-win Chiefs would stamp the Colts' ticket to the postseason

Cowboys in control of their own playoff destiny. A loss to the Saints on Sunday could knock the Cowboys out of playoff contention

Beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh on Sunday and the Bengals will get another opportunity to win their first playoff game of the Marvin Lewis Era, which for the record, began in 2003.

The 12-2 Falcons can secure home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs with a win over the Lions or if both Green Bay and San Francisco lose on Sunday.

Best for last.....

Best for last.....

So it comes down to this: Sunday night's NFL regular-season finale will be the biggest Redskins-Cowboys regular-season game ever played in Washington. The winner captures the NFC East title and a home playoff game next weekend. With a loss, the Redskins would be a wild card if Chicago and Minnesota both lost Sunday afternoon.

Giants have lost five of their last seven and must defeat the Philadelphia Eagles at home on Sunday and hope Dallas, Chicago and Minnesota all lose.

The Seattle Seahawks (10-5) and San Francisco 49ers (10-4-1)
enter the final weekend having clinched playoff berths but with the NFC West title still up for grabs along with a possible first round bye.

With the 49ers or Seahawks guaranteed playoff spots the other NFC wildcard will go to either the Bears (9-6) or Vikings (9-6).

The Vikings,
who have staged a late season charge behind the running of Adrian Peterson, can lock up a playoff spot with visit to Lambeau Field and a win over NFC North rivals the Green Bay Packers (11-4).

The Bears close out the campaign with a trip to the Motor City where they must combine victory over the Lions (4-11), losers of seven straight with a Vikings loss to move on

Packers can also grab a first round bye with a win over Minnesota or a San Francisco loss combined with a Seattle loss or tie.

The Broncos (12-3), Texans (12-3) and Patriots (11-4), however, will all have something to play for on the final Sunday with two first round byes and home field advantage throughout the playoffs on offer.

Denver, who will host the Kansas City Chiefs (2-13) and Houston, who visit the Colts can get the first weekend off with wins while the Patriots must beat the Miami Dolphins (7-8) and have either the Broncos or Texans lose.

A grand jury in Texas has formally indicted Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Josh Brent on one count of intoxication manslaughter.

Brent is charged in connection with a Dec. 8 crash that killed his friend and Cowboys practice squad member Jerry Brown. He is out of jail on $100,000 bond.

Dallas County District Attorney's Office spokeswoman Debbie Denmon says the indictment was returned Wednesday.

Police in the Dallas suburb of Irving say Brent was speeding when his vehicle struck a curb and flipped. Brown was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Intoxication manslaughter carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Brent could be eligible for probation.

Denmon says no court dates have been scheduled.

Thought his troubles would be just starting

Irving, Texas police have released the accident report and search warrant in connection with the accident, in which Brent's Mercedes S600 flipped and caught fire on a state highway's service road. Among the police department's findings:

? Police found an unopened bottle of Pierre cognac in or near Brent's car.

? The contributing factors in the wreck: alcohol, speeding in a 45mph zone and failure to drive in a single lane. Brent's overcorrection, according to the report, caused the car to hit a curb, slide into a ditch, overturn and come to rest on its roof.

? The car traveled more than 870 feet from the time it first hit the curb

? Brent refused a Breathalyzer test, but because of the fatality, police could draw his blood against his will. He was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.189; the Texas legal limit is 0.08.

? Neither man in the car was wearing a seat belt.

? Brent had served 30 days in an Illinois prison for driving drunk in 2009. He had an expired and suspended Illinois driver's license, and is barred from driving unless he has a valid license.

Back 2 Business

Back 2 Business

''There's no bigger Jet than me,'' Ryan insisted. ''I want to be the Jets' head coach for the next 15 years.

http://youtu.be/pl3vxEudif8

San Diego Chargers ? A year after Norv Turner was kept over the objections of the Chargers fan base, his reign as coach appears to be down to a matter of hours. Turner will end up somewhere as an offensive coordinator, but his career as a head coach is likely done.
Possible replacements ? Andy Reid (Eagles head coach), Bruce Arians (Colts offensive coordinator), Hue Jackson (Bengals assistant), Jim Caldwell (Ravens offensive coordinator)

Kansas City Chiefs ? Romeo Crennel deserves a medal for what he has been through this season, particularly the murder-suicide involving Jovan Belcher. Sadly, his work as head coach fell far short of acceptable.
Possible replacements ? Bruce Arians, Jim Caldwell, Ray Horton (Cardinals defensive coordinator), Jay Gruden (Bengals offensive coordinator), Kyle Shanahan (Redskins offensive coordinator), Brian Schottenheimer (Rams offensive coordinator)

Philadelphia Eagles ? Andy Reid?s 14-year run as head coach is coming to an end with the worst season of his career. This comes following the personal tragedy of losing his son to an accidental drug overdose before the season. Childproof drug packaging isn?t enough to protect children from accidental drug overdoses Reid should take a break, but he desperately wants to coach again.
Possible replacements ? Chip Kelly (Oregon coach), Jon Gruden (broadcaster, former NFL coach), Jay Gruden, Hue Jackson

Cleveland Browns ? New team president Joe Banner is expected to do a full overhaul of the football operations, starting with coach Pat Shurmur and extending to general manager Tom Heckert. The breaking point is that Banner looked at the team?s failure to trade up for Robert Griffin III and the reasoning for it.
Possible replacements ? Josh McDaniels (Patriots offensive coordinator), Chip Kelly, Nick Saban (Alabama coach), Ray Horton.

Buffalo Bills ? Give coach Chan Gailey credit for being loyal to defensive coordinator Dave Wannstedt, who a decade ago gave Gailey a coordinator job in Miami. However, that loyalty may have led to Gailey?s undoing in a year when the Bills were expected to compete for a title. That, and not being good enough at quarterback.
Possible replacements ? Jay Gruden, Kyle Shanahan, Mike McCoy (Broncos offensive coordinator), Bruce Arians, Perry Fewell (Giants defensive coordinator), Jim Caldwell.
