1. What would you say is "Your Song" (the song that you can most identify with) and why?
2. What artist would you pick to listen to in solitary confinement for one year?
3. What is the one artist/group that is typically considered great/revolutionary/incredible that you just don't get?
4. What is the best concert performance you've ever experienced, and maybe why?
5. Name two artists/groups that have a song that you like, but would never admit it because FatDaddyCool would say you were gay?
That's enough. Not supposed to be a test, just might be fun. Cheers.
4. Godspeed You! Black Emperor
That's amazing. Nobody ever mentions them for any reason ever. Very interesting, strange group from Montreal.

Great response to question #1. As Chadman stated, I didn't give the questions too much thought, but had I, I might have answered the same way you did.
Saw Black Flag several times and have seen both Henry Rollins and Greg Ginn solo, too.
1. What would you say is "Your Song" (the song that you can most identify with) and why? The River By Springsteen.
"I got a job working construction for the Johnstown Company
But lately there ain't been much work on account of the economy
Now all them things that seemed so important
Well mister they vanished right into the air
Now I just act like I don't remember
Mary acts like she don't care"
2. What artist would you pick to listen to in solitary confinement for one year? Springsteen
3. What is the one artist/group that is typically considered great/revolutionary/incredible that you just don't get? Just about the entire "Alternative" movement of the 90's
4. What is the best concert performance you've ever experienced, and maybe why? Hard to say. Robby Roadsteamer live is something.
5. Name two artists/groups that have a song that you like, but would never admit it because FatDaddyCool would say you were gay? Rick Springfield, John Sebastian
Great to see "The Boss" and one of his songs mentioned, Stevie.
I'll get in later when I have more time, but I would go for him, too. Too many of his songs to pick out a possible fave, tho.
Not really. I've just learned that to look cool around here, when you don't understand something, just call someone gay. Then you're cool again. There were a lot of words that looked kind of gay, there, no offense.
My banter with FatDaddyCool got me to thinking (hey, I drive 2.5 hours a day, gotta lotta time to think) how subjective music is, and ripping other people for their like of music is kind of pointless. Fun, yes, but pointless. Love and importance of music is pretty much a product of your life and what you've gone through. I thought I would start a thread and ask a few short questions, and see what songs/groups have influenced lives around here, and why. Might be interesting. Might be stupid. I dunno, we'll see. Don't waste a lot of time thinking...I'm sure there are plenty of songs/groups that will come to you if you think long enough. Just have some quick fun with this one.

Yeah smurph call me gay in French all the time, which is somewhat ironic in itself when you think about it. I mean if it wasn't for the Turks and their quest for an alternative to the women that were off limits............the French wouldn't have invented gay butt sex first. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and now due to French gay love butt babies, we have French-Canadians. I know, its unfortunate, but nothing I can do about it. Can't dispute history, ya know?
You see Chadman, I don't mind being called gay, especially by a guy that not only likes Morrisey(which automatically puts you on the V.I.P. list of every gay bar in North America), but is the bastard child of a gay French Turkish butt love exodus. History is a bitch.............I don't try to fight it bro.
How did I know you would play the butt sex card? So predictable is the Fat Daddy. You and your intense friend are so obsessed with writing about gay sex acts, it's ...well is what it is I guess. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Le Morrissey is the bomb diggity.
Lots of love,
smurphy:kiss:
PS: Vous jamais chiffrerez que je ne sois pas fran?ais ou canadien ?
