True, I've always thought the flopping in basketball and soccer are very similar. Although I have to give the edge to soccer players when it comes to theatrics. Sadly, even with the great acting jobs in the NBA, it's become unwatchable, IMO. :sadwave:

I have no reds but have been known to pick up my share of blue cards(2 minutes in the box).
Lonely feeling sitting in that box.
My personal favorite is the anguished face grab. That seems to be the "go to" move. Even if a guy gets hit in the ankle, they clutch their face.

Sorry to ruin the fun, but I think penalty kicks are stupid too. It's like fouling a guy in basketball and having that one foul shot decide the game. While I realize that does happen in basketball, it is different when the points make up 1% of the total scored versus 100% of the total scored.
I watched a game last week, can't remember who, where the only score came on a penalty kick at the 88:00 mark. Lame to play a whole game, then get it decided on one foul...call...kick.
The US should have a couple points in this half already.

Sorry but penaltys aren't stupid and when you take a player down before touching the ball you should be punished.
I think it adds excitement to the game.

I agree you should be punished, but a free kick on the goal? What is the percentage they make that shot - I would guess around 70%+? Just seems like, when scoring is so minimal, that the punishment does not fit the crime.
It does add excitement. Someone scores.
