GO HORNS

GO HORNS

I just cannot agree that White dominated UT D. He had 124 yds rushing and Bush had a mere 82. VY had 200 on the ground against USC D. Is that nearly twice as much. Not a stupid comment just a fact.

The numbers stack up ML has his yardage through the air but USC ground game was stopped time and again. It is not luck to stop that fourth down, just good D.

UT shut down Bush and White thoroughly and won the game on athleticism from start to finish.

GO HORNS

Should of would of.............enough already, the game was decided on the field and when big plays were needed TEXAS DELIVERED..............NOT USC.......and it wasn't the BUsh fumble that cost them the game or even blow out, they couldn't stop Texas when they needed too............no more excuses.......The O-lines for both schools had the upper hand the whole nite..........and Scott this is a typical stat day for USC, their "A" game, look at them closely: Leinart 350+ passing 1td, Bush 275 all- purpose yds 1 TD, White 100+ rushing 3tds, Jarret 120 receiving 1td.........thats factoid, but they were outmatched in the end, b/c they couldn't stop Texas(maybe once) other than that, Texas stopped themselves..........................also, side note, if you want to talk about would of's, I would of loved to see the damn refs throw the flag for the blatant holds USC had, I counted atleast 6 blatant holds.....so no more excuses.........it was a great game by two great teams and we'll be only fortunate enough to see another one of these next year

Who the fawk was impressed with Texas D? MACK BROWN HIMSELF said his D couldn't stop USC at all. USC D couldn't stop Young either. Geesh.

People act like USC had 4th and 2 and White was stopped for 1 yard loss. 2 inches short or 2 inches pass the 1st down marker is pretty much luck anyway you slice it. These are officials spotting the ball. 2 inches is NOTHING.

Who the fawk here thinks Texas D would have stopped the USC O if there was 2 min. left after Texas scored? Mack Brown himself said he wanted Texas to score game winning TD but to run the clock out because he couldn't stop USC.

I will say this. Texas D was better than USC D. But USC O was better than Texas O. Texas played solid on D but that wasn't good enough. USC still moved at will on them.

Everybody I was watching the game with, USC and Texas fans said they got a generous spot, the line judge coming from the bottom of the screen had the right call since thats where white was, but the line judge on the other side gave USC a whole football length more, thats more than 2 inches, it should of been 2 feet..............and that is not LUCK.......Texas wanted it more.....Stop your bull shit

This couldnt be more right, the one where the FB or 2nd TE for USC just grabbed I think it was Robinson's jersey from the side & I mean he was just tugging on it RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REF & yet NO CALL. :cursin:

USC 574 yards total offense.
Texas 556 yards total offense.

USC only had 5 more offensive plays than Texas.

Yep, Texas dominated defensively. That was great defense recovering Bush's lateral fumble. That was great defense stopping Leinarts QB sneak inches short. Great defense stopping White inches short. Give me a break.

Both teams played sloppy. Both teams played great. There just had to be a winner and a loser. Congrats on Texas winning the BCS NC.

Instead of re-living all that went wrong and right with the entire game on both sides, didn't it really come down to a 4th and 2?!! I think it's safe to assume everyone watching knew if USC made that first down, they would most likely win. If not, there was a very good chance Texas would score, and possibly win, based upon what they had been doing to the USC D. If we knew that, you know that the linemen, running backs, etc. knew it as well. In my opinion, it really came down to who "wonted" it more. Texas proved that they did.

And you mentioned the spot. From the TV viewers angle, USC got a favorable spot on that play, it wasn't that close.

I personally think Carroll went for it at the 50 because he thought Texas would score quickly enough, leaving him time to score again. Or, a slim hope that USC would stop them, and win. But, I have no basis for that, just opinion.

Texas didn't want it more. Geesh. White was 2 inches short on that 4th and 2. He battled, Texas battled, Texas came on top by 2 inches. Give props to both teams on that play. 2 inches short of marker or 2 inches past the marker is LUCK! Texas could have stopped White 1 yard back or White could have gone 1 yard past the marker. Both teams battled equally on that play. It was great. It was left to fate.

On game winning drive, Texas needed 4th and 4. Texas didn't want it more. BOTH TEAMS WANTED IT and VY made great play. There has to be a winner and a loser. Texas was the winner. Congrats!

USC has heart of champion.
Texas has heart of champion.

Perfect example of your twists. If the roles were reversed this fine Thursday & USC won the game by 3 & those plays were a VY fumble, VY getting stopped on 4th & inches & Taylor getting stopped inches short, you would be say that IS USC FOOTBALL, that is what GREAT teams do. THEY MAKE PLAYS WHEN IT MATTERS. USC forces you to make those choices with the pressure the offense puts on its oppenents & then you throw in one of these :scared

USC ANSWERED THE BELL WHEN THE GAME MATTERED & so on & so on :mj07:

This is what bothers so much about your double sided BS.

IT WAS GREAT DEFENSE STOPPING A QB SNEAK on 4th & inches.....ND sure as hell couldnt do it vs USC.

IT WAS BEYOND GREAT DEFENSE STOPPING 4 & 2 with game on the line.

IT A FOCKING JOKE YOU CANT ADMIT IT. :s4:

ADMIT IT!!!!!!!!!!

USC FANS ARE ABOUT AS GRACIOUS AS ML IN DEFEAT. JUST TWO INCHES FROM VICTORY WHAT A JOKE. UT WANTED IT MORE AND HAD TO SHUT UP ALL THE NAYSAYERS. LIKE I SAID BEFORE UT WOULD WIN AGAIN TODAY. USC NEVER HAD A CHANCE AT A BLOWOUT IN THIS GAME.

FINAL SCORE IS BOTTOM LINE. BEST GAME OF 2005 SEASON AND MAY GO DOWN AS BEST EVER.

TEXAS D SHOWED MORE PHYSICAL PLAY THROUGHOUT THIS GAME.

ENOUGH ALREADY UT WON IT HANDS DOWN.

GO HORNS

btw, White got a ridiculously good spot on that play. It should have been 2-3 feet short. Not that it matters now.

This sums it up.

Give the ball to USC at the USC 20 yard line and give the ball to Texas at the Texas 20 yard line and flip a coin who wins the game.

Neither team wanted this game more. IMO, to say Texas wanted it more diminishes their victory. To bash USC diminishes Texas victory. Texas did something teams can't do. Play all 4 quarters and beat USC. That is something special nobody can take away from Texas. Whats great about this game is both teams made mistakes and both teams played great. This sums it up.

Give the ball to USC at the USC 20 yard line and give the ball to Texas at the Texas 20 yard line and flip a coin which defense stops opposing offense.

you're basically saying, Young's 4th and 5 play was luck, if whites 4th and 2 play was luck..............or maybe you were eating Lucky Charms today and the word luck is just in your head.....

What all this boils down to is that Pete Carroll is a complete idiot. How can you not prepare your team for the one player, VY, who can and did beat you. All these posters saying he's an NFL caliber coach is a load of bs. Any NFL team that prepares for someone like Vick or other qb's that can break a d down running cant necessarily shut him down, but control him enough to win the game. I lost a lot of respect for USC. Where is the discipline? Bush thinking he's Moss? Yeah, I'll get right on that. They had a chance to go down as the best team ever if they beat texas. Texas showed up, although they did make mistakes, but there is no way in my mind USC gets beat in their own back yard if they showed up as prepared as texas did. Throw all the excuses out, all the bs calls by the zebras, USC still sucks giant moose cock after that display last night. Thats what I call being weak.

Stop being a dreamer..your replaying the game in your mind..its over..forget about the penalties..fumbles..picks..stops.. all that crap is part of the game..the bottom line is USC could not stop the Horns from scoring on the final drive.USC had the lead and could not step up there defense in the final seconds.PERIOD!!!!!

Hook em Horns!!!!!!!!!!!!!
