First play of the season. May but back later, but this line will most likely move up once people have a chance to research it. The most positive thing that Neuheisal or Chow have been able to say about the Oline is that they?re young. They?ve even tried to transfer a TE to C and they will be trying to protect whoever makes it out of the infirmary at QB for UCLA.
While Tennessee doesn?t have the best front 4, they do have the type of athletes at Dline that seem to only reside in the Essss-Seeeee-Seeeee which scares the hell out of people in these parts ? well at least me

UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel said the running game had to be better.
Offensive coordinator Norm Chow said the pass protection needed to improve. Right tackle Nick Ekbatani chimed in by saying the blocking technique needed work.
No matter who was speaking, the offensive concern centered around UCLA's beleaguered offensive line.
There was also a fumbled snap recovered by the defense, and UCLA's quarterbacks were sacked eight times behind the often overwhelmed offensive line.
"I thought the effort was good, but I was not happy with the way we pass protected," Chow said. "But we would do some different things come game time. All in all, we got out of it healthy."
"Offensively, it raises your nervousness in terms of being able to run," Neuheisel said. "Given where we are with the offensive line and an inexperienced quarterback, you'd like to not put all the pressure on the throwing game. It'll be a huge deal for us to find a way to run the ball, going into the Tennessee game, with some consistency."

Tennessee will have some problems this year, but there?s not a chance they get shown in this game as it?s not a hostile environment and their offense will be playing with short fields and a likely lead.
