Look, I like ND2002HORNS as much as the next guy and probably more because he certainly IS an asset to the forums here at madjacks. I'm sure he hates to go as much as everybody else does, including me. He was dedicated to the forum, looked out for the best interest of the forum, motivated others', praised others', and his contributions were sincere and well thought out.

But, he put me in a dilemma and I had to make a decision that I thought was in the best interest for me and the other members of the forum.

Here are some quotes from some emails I received from him in the last few months.

So since you guys are on a locking thread binge, why don't you lock the jackass who posted tonight that I am a whino, some guy with 18 posts trying to ruin the forum again, just like "seeker". This time a guy with the handle of KM_Sports. I don't understand how this guy is even able to be a member.

Well, if that is the way you are going to treat me by locking my thread then fine but many cappers will leave with me.


I am going to personally call some of your sponsors and tell them of the shit you are pulling with me.


I am a doctor now and your petty attitude will cost you.


Either he cuts the act or I go and I will let everyone know why I left due to his endless antics. I am sorry but I am
not going to deal with it anymore. Let me know what you do please as I will not post until I know what is happening with this jackass.

For the second time in 2 weeks I have had to login again. I am using the same computer for the last year or more since I started on this site. In over year I have never had to login. Now it is says my login is not valid. What gives here? If I can't get on in the next hour I will not post again. I will just go to another site and post info that nobody else has access to on this site when it comes to hockey.

He wants edludes banned? edludes isn't thee more likable guy on the forum and I highly doubt he was bashing HORNS in that one thread at all. Christ, I can't ban everybody HORNS tells me to just because he doesn't like the guy.

He wanted me to ban worm. WTF, don't read worm's threads if you don't like him.

He wanted me to ban SCOTT4USC. WTF? If you don't like his threads, don't read them.

I guess I got tired of all the threats to leave if I didn't jump on banning someone he didn't like. He was threatening me regularly.

Tell me what you would have done.

Am I wrong here? Should I really ban everybody HE tells me to?

it's your site, you can do what you want but it does not sound like you to get to this level.

I thought the dude had issues a long time ago......I wont miss him one bit. I wouldnt feel guilty or bad for getting rid of him just because he posts some decent info.....Plenty of us that do that.

It's nice to get all sides to any situation. After reading the emails I think ND got a little carried away with himself. He never seemed to be that way in his posts.

As I stated in my last reply in the other thread before you locked it, I think you do a great job and we as posters have to help also, by not being so thinned skinned and demanding all sorts of ridiculous things.

No you can't ban everyone and in this instance there is no way you could give in to this type of intimidation. For whatever reason ND seemed to be out of control about this and definitely went way over the top about his importance to this site.

Don't get me wrong, I really liked his posts and would much rather have him here than not, but not at the expense of every person who doesn't agree with him.

ND, still think you should rethink your postion, but Jack has to run this site for the good of all of us and more importantly his good. Sorry you don't seem to see it that way. GL to you whatever you decide to do

seems to me on a board of this size, there's going to be a wide variety of people. i like to read certain folk's analysis, i look for them everyday. as to ones i don't care for, i just don't open the thread.

Simple economics. Economists define the "opportunity cost" of any good or service as the value of all the other goods or services that we must give up in order to produce it. In this case we are talking about posters.

If you just had to choose between one or two people leaving its easy, but when members start threatening the goodwill of the site by claiming to "take many cappers here with me" and talking to sponsors, things are getting out of hand.

This isnt new and Ive been around long enough to remember when this happened four or so years ago on a much bigger scale.

Also remember this business is one of the most ruthless and unforgiving. Always has been always will. We arent running the St. Mary's Church for the Underpriveleged Soup Kitchen. Games are won and lost with hundreds and sometimes thousands at stake. Real dollars, real mortgages. Bottom line: If you dont have a thick skin after being around the block a few times - then you're in the wrong place. If you think you're bigger than anyone else here in the forum and have to bitch/moan/cry to the admin every time you have a dispute - you're definitely in the wrong place.

Finally, if you threaten the owner of the website, you need to leave. "I am a doctor, I am a lawyer, I am a kid with big britches"

Frogy, MJ seems to be throwing up his hands and asking the 'masses' for input because he truly wants to do whats best for the forum and this is a tight spot. Nine times out of ten this guy is having some serious personal issues - leave it at that.

Unfortunately, the situation is yours and yours alone. Its your website and your business.

If you want my advice though, you dont let the inmates run the asylum.

FWIW, I think you made the right call Jack. As always, there is a 2nd side to a story, I'm glad you chose to share it with us. It's surprising that someone who posts as a pretty nice guy had a problem with so many people. Like all of us, ignore them.

Said it before, and I'll say it again. It's Jack's site and he can do anything he wants. I respect him for getting rid of the bs as he has in the past and as he will in the future. He's a dictator, yet he still tries to do good for the majority of the people who are concerned here. This is why Jack has been having success at the tables. This is what is known as "calling a bluff".

Fight On Madjack, you did the right thing in getting rid of ND2002HORNS. First of all, nobody should make threats towards anybody, especially the person who runs this great site. Horns handicapping will be missed (as he was pretty damn good in college football) but he is a poison. He threatened me numerous times and immaturely called me names but I never reciprocated. He wanted to contact USC and get me in trouble for gambling because I am a part time manager for the team. I agree with madjack, if you do not like what someone writes, ignore it. Thats what I do and I do not let anybody get under my skin. I have participated in "many" debates on here but never has it come personal for me. I always choose the high road and treat everyone on this site with the class and respect they deserve.

Completely agree w/Jack on this one. It is his site, let him run it his way, it is his business, his livilihood, his responsibility period. I am self employed and I would be damned if I would let anybody threaten me and my business for one damn second.

As far as Horns goes, I hate to see him go, but think he is overreacting to this whole deal. And if thinks by posting at another site, that forum will be better. The guy is nuts. I have posted at many different forums, this forum is the cadillac of sports betting and will always be that way. Guys what other forum can u go to on Sunday mornings to see 1,000 members on at one frekkin' time. They come here because it is few hundred people that are good posters, not one frekkin' person. Nobody belongs to this forum just for one person's picks like ndhorns, ray's, fletch's etc. They look at several good cappers and compare them to their own capping. Jack is doing a DAMN Good Job, compared to other forums admin. Hell I got into w/one guy, cause he took his whole forum pay, touting his posters like frekkin' experts, so he would get charge u for just being a member there!! That's why this is my exclusive forum for posting will not post at any other boards. Jack just wants u to post, read and try out a couple of his sponsors in here. The sponsors are who is paying for this site!!! Not U, not me!! Remember just be glad this is free and respect Jack. I do remember the old aol boards and there was a shitload of bashing on that not even close to what we are seeing here.
