Neteller????????????

Let me start by saying I have used Neteller for a couple of years to fund my sportsbooks account and have had absolutely perfect service. No problems, quick responses to questions etc. Never have had a hint of false claims or distrustful practices.

So I decided to have some winnings from one of my outs sent to Neteller instead of having them send it to me as I usally do, when I have winnings, because the cost from the book is pretty steep and the Neteller payout was free.

So the money gets to Neteller in a hour or so and I go to Neteller to see how to have them send me the money. They show to send a check it is only a $1.00 for the check and a MINIMUM OF 2 DAYS FOR REGULAR MAIL.

OR you could pay $10.00 for 1 day Federal Express service, which is very reasonable, but since I didn't need the money right away, I figured Regular mail would be all right and I would save $10 bucks.

Well its now going on 10 days and still no check, so I call and I'm told QUOTE IT COULD TAKE 2 WEEKS BY POSTAL SERVICE AND IF I DON'T GET IT AFTER 2 WEEKS I SHOULD CALL AND THEY WILL STOP THAT PAYMENT AND SEND OUT A NEW CHECK. (ANOTHER POSIBLY 2 WEEKS UNLESS I WANT FED EXP THIS TIME. I WOULD HAVE DONE THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD ABOUT THIS FARCE.

Now on their withdrawal page it says minimum 2 days for reg mail, but no mention of maximum time. And their Customer service agent didn't bat an eye saying 2 weeks is normal. Naturally I ask why and was told it's the postal service that takes that long.

BULLSHIT, They are keeping my money as long as they can, why not tell us upfront that it will take 2 weeks, well because they know alot of people will opt for the reg mail thinking a week or so at the most will be OK like I did.

This is very deceiving and definitely not right.

Good bye Neteller, if I ever get my money.

I can understand your frustration, but based on your positive experience with them, their history, and the service they provide, I'd tend to give them the benefit of the doubt.

They are one of our few quality options left.

Yes, it is misleading how it is written, but I wouldn't want to change right now (I use them exclusively).

It's getting so difficult to maneuver funds nowadays, yet they are still standing and presumably(?) doing fine.

(I just hope their type of service isn't targeted next!)

I always use EFTs, I've done three withdrawls in the last month and a half and all went swiftly and painlessly. I can't speak for using mail but I've never been anything but very happy with their service.

Everyone,

I am not saying the other options are not good as I have only tried the check option from them. When I Electronically transferred money to them my bank charged be some ridiculous fee so I figured it may be free from neteller but my bank would probably charge me.

I will have to find out as it sounds like everyone has had good results using it.

My only problem with the whole situation is why not be upfront with how long the check option takes.

As I stated before, I have been very happy with them until this and I still say that this one situation is bogus and not right.

Probably will still use them as ceciol is right about the options left to use, but check option is bogus:mad:

HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (not meaning to sound like Harry) but your BANK charged you for a Neteller Deposit?? i have had major neteller fees for wanting an *instant* deposit, but never a bank charge.

are you even able to pay your bills online via EFT without penalty??

They let you do it free for 6 months, then after getting you sucked in they start charging to do it. I still pay bills the old fashioned way.

Too much info flying around the internet, I try and keep as much financial info as secret as possible.

Some banks are starting to get cocky again and charge for everything. We use a cuople different ones for different things:eek: but anywhere you go you will probably get screwed in some area or another.

HR,

You are correct...they are in Canada. I do a quite a bit of international mailing and Canada is a crapshoot when it comes to speed of delivery. In my opinion, regular mail received in 1-2 weeks from Canada is the norm but definitely not uncommon for it to take longer. Mail from Europe takes half the time than from Canada...go figure. Sit tight...

Munson and Highroller,

Thanks, didn't even realize or remember they were in Canada. That would explain it. My bad then for using the check by mail option. (Still think they could be more informative on the 2 weeks though)

I guess even though I didn't need the money right away, I should just pay what fees it takes and get it through EFT or just get it from the sportsbook.

Thanks for the responses and for anyone else who uses Neteller, I would definitely recommend them except for the check by mail option:D

ctown--you're in SoCal, so you should have Bank of Americas coming out of your ass. They do not charge for EFTs to and from Neteller. Their on-line banking is second to none. They have a policy where they basically do not ask questions if you have false charges. Obviously, if you make it a habit your account would be flagged.

I have not written a check in over 1 1/2 years because of BOAs on-line banking. It is far superior to anything I 've seen, but I haven't looked at the other guys in a while. No check fees, they pay the postage, no hassle of checks, and you can schedule your payments in advance so you don't even have to remember them.

Internet banking is safer than giving your CC or other information over the phone. That is a fact.
