I looked at reviews of this vehicle while looking for a small SUV, and found lower reliability ratings relative to competitors.

Since you are in the market for a 2007 SUV, I drive a '07 Highlander Limited and defnitely recommend it. No issues to date, drives well, plenty of room for its class. I wish it was't black, though. Too hard to keep exterior clean!

GL on your purchase:toast:

Agree with Sports, but only on Wrangler Rubicon.

Jeep Liberty is Chrysler....

Chrysler uses VERY inexpensive parts to build their cars. DID YOU HEAR THAT? They use inexpensive parts to build their cars. That means the car was built using inferior parts and YOU want to buy a car that is inferior to ALL OTHER CARS ON THE ROAD!!!!!!!!

Tell your wife this is a bad deal. Please.

if you are looking in the small to mid size SUV range, take a look at the Mitsubishi Outlander. We bought one last December and have been extremely pleased.

I rented a Jeep Cherokee last year while in Calif. & didn't particularly like the leg room on the driver's side....

I rented a Jeep liberty in Chicago, the rental company handed me the keys so I unlocked the drivers side door, took a shit in the passenger seat and walked to the train to go downtown.

I owned a Liberty and liked it, I felt safe, could see the road better than a normal SUV. . . I always felt it was a girl's car though, so I turned it in after 2 years for a Wrangler.

It's a nice car, but there's got to be a ton on the road, so I'd make sure I got a deal.

Joker- I've owned Jeeps and Chryslers all my life . . . never had a problem

We traded Jerri's grand cheerokee 2006 in for a 2009 Liberty Limited fully loaded and it is great for out here , bought my dad one before he passed because his tahoe was taking way to much gas for his town driving and did not run good in the snow at all, back end is to light, but other then that they both have been great, i have the other one i use when I go back home, we also have escape which is only 2 years old i drive it like it more for me but they are just fine never had a problem runs smoth, turns great good on gas, has good power they are not made cheap that's bull shit , jeeps are all solid we have had 4 now does not run or handle like my Camaro not many do but then again does not cost 38 grand + like my camaro which runs better then any car i have had, had a ss one before traded for my new camaro and the difference in it to the ss is not even in the ball park. The liberty's have great track record lots of space in it rides smoother then the grand and cost less, get a Limited trail rated cost more but has lot more weight in back end and it goes great in the snow and we get it by the feet up in mt. charleston where we ski and in brain head utah it goes right through deep snow, the reg one like I got my dad is fine but not great in snow starting out back slides some when you start on hills even in 4wd, but limited trail rated goes great runs great very smooth ride, and they are loade nice very nice and has nice exra, someone said it you do see road very well also when driving it, don't care what others have said i am sure they have had 2-3 making them experts  they are far from cheap mad some people need to get a clue.

The only person that matters is you.(I guess your wife actually) Other people will give you their opinions but that's all they are. Why drive something someone else considers a "good" car if you like something else better and more importantly spend what you feel comfortable spending.

Bottom line is all cars are a waste of money so really it doesn't matter.

just make sure the ball joint recall has been performed on it, if your wife decided to buy it for you or her, U could to a lot better however.........

better yet go check with the parts guy see what he has to say, ................................

most car companies bid out components or press the parts makers to cut costs any way possible,.... thus recalls occur like the ball joints on the liberty's

trust me I am giving you pearls here :nono:
