As far as I know it's not PPV, its just the first of a series of Thursday Night Games being shown on the NFL Network.

They should do this anyway (PPV). Why not. Another revenue stream. Can't cost much to make it available. Though maybe DirectTV wouldn't like it.

Does anybody know if the games will be on a regular network (Fox,CBS,) also? Or will they just be the NFL network? To be honest I didn't know there was an NFL network. We don't get it here. Maybe he meant we would have to pay for the network broadcast?

The way I understand it, it will be exclusive to the NFL Network channel.

I checked with my cable company (Time Warner) at the begining of the season and was told that it will only be on the NFL Network so if you have Time Warner, like I do, then you are screwed. I heard that in some areas they will pick it up if it is a local team but I cannot verify that.

So. Cal
sounds stupid to me. I sure wouldn't PPV an NFL game.

isnt that exactly what the nfl sunday ticket basically is.....a ppv option?

nfl network will shot thurs-sat games starting on thanksgiving (8 total i beleive)

i know that time warner does NOT carry the nfl network and that cox cable does.

Comcast in San Francisco has it as a digital Channel.

It's channel 180, and doesn't cost extra... if you have "digital cable"

But, in rooms in my apartment without a cable box, it won't show up.

I would definately pay 5-10 bucks to watch my team when they weren't on as a MNF, SNF or national Sunday game, I believe a lot of out of market fans would do the same.

Not everyone can have Direct TV!!

So what I'm reading that isn't being said......Nobody cares what the results are b/c they will be posted in the morning paper.... Are not the results from all games posted in the same paper as well? So my question is how can TV networks broadcast anything besides elections on election days? Money Money and more Money so when you hear Money isn't everything, you decide what is the only thing!:mj11:

I am curious to see what happens in 2010 when the Directv contract runs out for the sunday ticket. Will the NFL just create their own package?
