Yes sir, can you meet up for dinner or even drinks? ... :)

Wife's birthday is Saturday, so I am booked all day and night. Friday night, I can get out for some beverages maybe even dinner. Sunday, I am available all day. Will probably start with brunch and go from there.

Jack has my number. Looking forward to meeting up w/ you guys....

Had a great shrimp and oyster PoBoy at Parkway Tavern 2 weeks a go. And a great time at that. Said Rod Stewart had just left there a half hour before. Also had Brunch across from Harrahs in a Hotel that had 25 cent martinis. Was drunk at 2 pm, sheesh!!

Parway is a local favorite. Great place. Roast Beef is very good there also.

Jack, not sure how much of a "foodie" you are but my fave restaurant is called Brightsen's..It's uptown and a short walk from the streetcar - which is always a nice New Orleans-y thing to do. Totally casual, incredible food! Also for po-boys a new place that has opened up on magazine street is called Mahoney's. Their shrimp po-boy with freid green tomatoes and remoulade sauce is worth the trip. Quite possibly the best shrimp po-boy is had at Domilise's which is also uptowna nd a cab ride away..since you're downtown the nAcme is loads of fun, with TV's to watch games and the charbroiled oysters are a winnah as someone else in this thread eluded too! ALSO JOHNNY'S PO-BOYS IN THE FRENCH QUARTER makes a great po-boy..If you're looking for good food in the quarter try Bayonna...I know you'll have a blast..WHO DAT'S roll! It's karma time for the city of New Orleans to get what they deserve...something to give the people of that city a reason to feel good besides mardi gras and Jazz fest. New Orleans gonna win the Super Bowl! GEAUX SAINTS!:mj06:

I love Brigtsen's. It was Dick Schapp's favorite restaurant in NOLA, and he was known as a bigtime foodie.

Mahoney's is very good too. I normally go with the fried green tomato and shrimp remoulade po-boy. The owner was sous chef at RioMar, which is another favorite of mine.

Yes and no. But its within walking distance to Harrahs.

I think the Hilton is about a mile from the Superdome maybe a little longer.

I think he means is Hilton close the French Quarter, Harrah', etc. As you indicated, it is. The dome is roughly a mile, as it is a 10 minute walk down Poydras, or a 2 minute cab ride.

French Quarter is correct. No interest in and highly unlikely I visit Harrahs.

We'll go over the place to meet but walking to the dome is not a problem.
