Some of these comments are out of line, just like Nolan's. Doc, I don't know you, but I expect better. And yes, ranting on this forum about personal issues close to your heart is unecessary. Be proud of your daughter's scholastic achievements, not how much playing time she gets. And for the rest of you, stereotyping ANY race is ridiculous. Our society tolerates it and it is plain wrong. White, black, Hispanic, Asian, whatever. And the race card.....
There are a lot of blacks who, let's face it, still harbor some resentment for how they or their ancestors were treated by society. At least many of them have the dignity to let bygones be bygones. I'm not P.C., for instance, some of this reparations talk is absolutely ridiculous. But we should at least try to use a little empathy and know where they are coming from.
As for African slavery, who cares who started it? It was the white slave traders' choice whether to bring them to America or not. Heck, slavery has been going on for thousands of years.
And Dan Issel. He was losing control of his team big time. Remember that the players almost revolted. Not very well liked. Great player, lousy as a coach and GM.
