I think the move from 6.5 to 5.5 is big since its crossing a prime number but the move from 5.5 to 4.5 is meaningless. I'll bet it doesn't hit 4 anywhere. My guess as to your question is its the divisional rivalry thing, and Oakland is a public team.

line has moved b/c Denver has won last 8/9 contests..

Oaks D could not stop a high school team..

Oak has not had a 100yrd rusher in 4games..

Denver D is one of the best in the land.. against run and pass,
just two TD passes allowed in 4 games

And Denver has to many O weopons..

that being said i like the dog on MNF??

what do you think Jack

good luck

Yes I see what MJ is saying. Denver has come down as fav. there looking like the play. However the O/U has gone other way up. In this game with Oak starting to show there age. And Denver coach hates Oak owner with a passion. My local yocal has posted 47. I will go under.
Old with bad eyes looked at this wrong way. Laugh all you young guys your days are coming.

Yes look at the dates, the most-recent (current) line is the first one. Line has moved up, then down, then way up again...money is coming in on Denver.

From a football standpoint, Denver looks much better (favorite almost always does). From a line standpoint though, I'm thinking if this somehow lands on 7 it will be hard for me not to bet on Oakland.

You are correct. My local does have 47 and I will still go under. It makes his stand on 47 look out of date. Denver up to 6.5 may be to high. But Oak is slipping. There still are some -5 and 5.5 out there.

i think the lines moving, because if denver gets control of this game and has a chance to run it up, they will. shanahan hates al davis and would love nothing better than to give the raiders their 5th loss in a row. what better stage than monday night? line will probably hit 7 by gametime.

good luck whatever you play.

Monday Nights This Year:

Favorites are 6-3 ATS and have covered 5 straight. Kind of odd in a year when the dogs are covering overall at almost a 60% clip.

Not saying this would sway me to bet Denver...just thought it was worth throwing out there.

{edit} Additional odd tidbit...

No road dog has covered on Monday Night yet this year.

First 6 games, the road team was favored in every game(!). Road fav covered 3, home dog covered 3.

Past 3 weeks, home team was favored and covered each time.

I believe the fact that Oak. plays N.E. next sunday might make them a poor investment to-nite. They have had Nov. 17 circled on the calendar since being knocked out of the playoffs last year on what they believe was a terrible call. I think the motive of revenge next sunday overides any rivalry factor with Denver. Just an opinion. Not interested in betting this game, just watching, but good luck to those that do.

Hey kreationz,

I don't know if Jack likes links to other sites posted here (especially in his thread, and off topic to boot!), but I'll try it, and if it's not ok I'm sure it will be removed.

www.jimfeist.com/Hilton.asp

Actually I'll take it down as soon as I see you've replied that you've seen it.

Mad Jack,
I think the public believes the Raiders are due. But I've been thinking that for a few weeks now. I don't bet against streaks. I might look for a good prop bet. . .like how many times they show close-ups of Al Davis during the game. The over/under is 15 :)

BTW, are you still in Accident?

The weired thing is the line droped from Oak +6.5 to +6 right now. Had Oak +6.5 all day and I was expecting maybe will see
the big # 7 before gametime.

Denver has beaten Oakland 12 of last 14 games. six is a hefty number, but if Denver can get control of the game in the first half, the Raiders will be forced to throw almost every down. Charlie Garner is a quick-looking back, but he isn't gaining the yards they need to be competitive against good teams. Not saying the Broncos will cover, but you will never get rich betting on a team that has lost four in a row. And those that say that Shanahan hates Davis are right on - they are still in court over several hundred thousand dollars that Shanahan claims is owed him by Raiders. He would love to run the ball down their throat and punish the raiders.
