The old Colt returns.

This play wins

it seems simple enough

The whole wager relys on what Colt will be able to do against the Sooners defense.

If Colt shys away from the hits that will come down on him, and gets sacked alot, Texas could be in big trouble in this game.

If McCoy plays well and passes for 300 yds and runs for another 100 , then this play is screwed.

Something tells me it will be the former rather than the later.

-7 seems a fair wager to me with this play.

You really have not watched Texas close at all this season have you.

Colt doesn't get sacked because they run so many quick release passes and Colt takes off when it isn't there.

I really think you are gonna be suprised when you see how much faster and stronger Colt is than last year.

I don't want to hear you crying about how he is on something when I already told you.:mj07:

kegray

thanks. I did read that.

I made a few phone calls and they have tested Colt McCoy for steroids, HGB, and fertility drug that jose canseco was trying to get in the US from Tijuana.

Report came back to me that McCoy was not on anything illigal. He was just a big dumb moose.

Does anyone know why its called the Red River Bowl ?

The Red River splits the Texas-Oklahoma border. I am on your side today Even though I went to OU and could be a little biased. I believe we win by 2 td's. Texas is starting two Frosh in the secondary. Bradford will be picking them apart all day. Colt has not faced the speed as OU has on defense. If you watched the Baylor game, Griffen III is a lot faster and runs more than Colt and everywhere he went he had 3 guys on him. TX has a great defense and has had a lot of sacks this year! They are now facing the best O-line in the country. OU will wear them out! Additionally, OU did not have classes on Friday and Dallas has been all OU since Thursday.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info sooner.

I think its good luck to have your first post at madjacks agree with this play.

Texas secondary and overall speed of OU#1 team should get this done.

So. Cal
any coach who punts from their own 48, down 3, with 6 to go, and has an offense that cant be stopped, playing another offense that cant be stopped......deserves to lose.

boom goes the punt, bust goes the win.

bye bye ou

Game Summary - YTD 3-1 + $ 1,129.00

Will Muschamp's Texas defense limited the Sooners to 48 yards rushing, which meant Bradford had to come through more than ever. He was still good (28-of-39 for 387 yards and five touchdowns), just not good enough to also overcome some breakdowns on defense and special teams.

? Oklahoma's rushing game was non-existent, totaling only 48 yards on 26 carries. :scared

Texas and Oklahoma combined for 80 points, breaking the record for most points in the 103 games of this rivalry.

Trailing the No. 1 Sooners nearly all game, Colt McCoy and the No. 5 Longhorns grabbed control in the fourth quarter and refused to let go, pulling away for a 45-35 victory Saturday in one of the greatest games in the storied series between these Red River rivals.

Texas trailed by 11 twice in the first half and by eight in the third quarter before spoiling a fake punt and turning it into a go-ahead field goal. It was the first time all season the mighty Sooners were behind, and they answered by regaining the lead.

Then McCoy came right back with another go-ahead score -- and his defense kept Oklahoma's Sam Bradford from finding an answer. When Chris Ogbonnaya turned a play seemingly headed nowhere into a 62-yard gain, the Longhorns were headed to their biggest victory since knocking off Southern California in the January 2006 Rose Bowl, much to the delight of their half of the record crowd of 92,182 at the Cotton Bowl.

"It was a game when every time somebody made a play, the other team would get more excited," Brown said. "It was one of the greatest football games I've ever seen."

McCoy's stewardship was terrific, the kind that will be remembered by Heisman Trophy voters. His numbers were good, too: 28-of-35 for 277 yards with a touchdown and no turnovers; he was sacked four times, but turned 14 rushes into 31 yards.

Wow what a game. Almost makes losing acceptable.

How does Sam Bradford , throw for 387 fawking yards and 5 touchdowns and lose the game.

Holy shit !

Got to hand to Colt McCoy. He beat me. He was unstoppable. Everytime Texas needed to answer, they did. Probably the best performance and leadership from a QB I have ever witnessed.

I trace the actual reason that this play lost was when Ryan Reynolds went down with a injury.

The Oklahoma middle linebacker, is the heart of the Sooner defense.
Reynolds tore a ligament in his right knee in the third quarter and is out for the season.

When Ryan went down, the middle of the defense for the Sooners collapsed. There was no replacement for that guy.

I think that the Georgia Bulldogs would get romped on by the Texas Longhorns right now.

Mack Brown dies and goes to heaven

God takes Mack around to show him where he will be living in heaven.

Mack looks over on top of a mountain and sees a Texas University flag flying in the front lawn. It is a huge mansion. There is a Rolls Royce parked in the driveway.

There is also a small cottage next to the mansion that has a Oklahoma flag flying outside.

So Mack turns to God and says, why did Bob Stoops get a house like that one ?

God says, thats not Bob Stoops house ,
that is my house.
