UGA,

1) yes

2) no

1.) Of course there is racism everywhere. This isn't an issue of racism. This is a discrimination issue. There are those that are calling for harsher judgement against him simply because they feel this will help to "even it up for what our white brethren went through" for what they consider to be similar transgressions.
All this falls right in line and in the heels of the Ferguson deal and the treatment of white cops etc....

That's what has everyone all lathered up. They want vindication.

2.) Black on black bigotry is largely ignored as is black on white bigotry when considering the venue and context. I assure you that many of the same white folks in this very thread laugh at black comedians when they make racist jokes, i.e. "white people are so stupid, if a white person gets offended he says pardon me there mister...." you get the point. We laugh at the jokes, giggle and nod at the stereotypes, but come unglued when we see an and chomp at the bit when an opportunity to further diminish the relative equality that blacks have gained to date. It's discriminatory when you call for harsher judgement of anyone based in race. It's ignorant when you allow for the behavior sometimes and vilify it from others.

As a guy that thinks that this is a mountain out of mole hill type of thing, let me ask you a couple of yes/no questions. Feel free to expand after answering yes or no and I would gladly do the same to your questions.

1) Is racism alive and well in the black communities like it is in the white communities of America?

2) Are black racist actions(assuming one believes in such thing) covered and handled the same way in the media as those of whites?

1) Of course
2) Of course not

No way they're a racist, they just don't agree with the double standard, right?

The two questions I asked are painfully obvious to anyone with any sense. How is it not then painfully obvious the double standard that exists and then perfectly understandable how people would be sick and tired of it? Are you saying because I believe in this double standard that I am a racist? Are you saying that if I believe a whole lot of people should be eating a shit sandwich following the Ferguson lie(btw none of the race baiters have, shocker) that I am a racist? Speaking of discrimination, was the white officer discriminated against because of his color? At the end of the day the only person that knows how someone truly feels is that person. I can be white and dislike the actions of some blacks and not be racist no different than it doesn't make me racist against whites because I dislike some of their actions. We have been fed this narrative that everything is black and white both literally and figuratively and that could not be further from the truth. I say things all the time to my friends both black and white that if I was talking to a random person would be perceived much differently. This is a nuanced issue that is either totally ignored when someone is perceived to have done it, or it is handled with a sledge hammer. Perception is reality in race relations today, and until each case is handled with the same amount of disgust or disregard it will continue to be a huge divider regardless if it is real or just perceived.

Again I have absolutely zero issue with this particular incident being a none issue as it's not, but if this is a none issue then everyone should remember this in the future when a trivial matter by a white person is conveniently used to drive business.

If the badgers lost and Kaminsky said the same thing ask yourself what would have been the headlines.

I asked a simple question. My opinion on subject is irrelevant. I was looking for an honest answer to question.

Well it obviously would have gotten much more attention. Who knows how far it would have been taken, but the absolute fact is that it would have received much more attention.

Thank you that's what I was looking for many others are making way to much of this. I asked a question and was psychoanalyzed.

They know the answer. They just refuse to answer as it exposes their disgusting hypocrisy and race baiting agenda.
Whitey is a racist and bigot while the minority is always a victim regardless of the facts. That is how they play the game.

Dude,
I was answering your questions in generalities. I'm not speaking directly of you or to you. Sorry if that's how you took it. I did use the word you later in my post when I had previously used we, didn't do that intentionally.

I don't know who's a racist and who's not. I'm simply stating that justice shouldn't consider vengeance among social issues to be a mitigating factor. Discrimination is illegal. What is being put forth or suggested is that more should be made of this issue because if the guy was white that said it, more would be made of it for sure. Am I correct in that? I'm not saying you in particular are calling for anything further, I'm saying isn't that the crux of the issue?

I understand as I was using "I" in generalities as well. As to the embolden part, that is absolutely not what I am saying. I am saying that nothing should have be said about this at all as it is a non-issue as far as I am concerned. The problem I have is the countless non-issues that are made out to actually be something when the "perp"is white. I don't want to see anyone branded for perceived notions just for the convenience of a news story or a rally, White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, or anyone else.

I understand and agree with you in part.
I think that a "white perp on black victim" media sensationalism is a relatively new thing. It has historically been the opposite. I think that racial equality has gained a lot of steam in the last 20 years or so and much of that is thanks to pressure from social media. News stations report it because it gets ratings.
I don't want to see petty crap such as this incident made into anything either.
What I don't agree with is that there is a double standard. Not unless you're saying that white people get preferential treatment in the media, because they do.
The double standard in my mind is when people think that somewhere in America that a black man got preferential treatment over a white person anywhere except prison sentences.

If you want to try and justify or excuse the double standard because of how blacks have been treated in this country then go for it, but to claim that it does not exist is beyond ridiculous.

Really? Beyond ridiculous? So are you really trying to tell me Rodney King was lucky he wasn't white? I read a story the other day how Chris Rock was recording all the times he gets pulled over in his rich gated community. So far he's been pulled over three times since January. You think he feels lucky he's black?
What about the riots from those white thugs in Kentucky? Why aren't they being pepper sprayed or the lead story? Double standard? Yeah, we have a double standard in this country alright.

Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

There is no such thing as black privilege.
