Honestly I think we need to drastically reduce the amount of laws on the books, so police really only need to butt into our lives regarding the most obvious things.

If anything, the millions of additional laws and codes passed over the course of the past few decades gives police too much power, which makes it more like that they will be corrupt.

Simplify their jobs and they are a lot more likely to have positive interactions with citizens.
I think this will be better for the officers themselves too.

Agreed. Hell, they can literally stop anyone now and say "I didnt think you had your seatbelt on" Oh well thats fucking great. So I HAVE to wear my seatbelt for my safety, while I drive around town to pick up as much fucking food as I want, some smokes, and enough FIREBALL to fill my bathtub, all ok, but fuck me I have to have my seat belt on, HAVE TO, I get it you should wear it, but HAVE TO is fucking nuts, not to mention the fact that if I'm not driving my fucking 2ton truck, but on my moped or my motorcycle in an open fucking air moving thingy, I dont even HAVE TO wear a helmet, I can just cruise around getting my FIREBALL in my wife beater and cut off jean shorts to my own marry beat.

Long story short -SIMPLIFY THIS SHIT!! Only have the right to pull over for moving violations for safety of OTHERS, not the idiot driving the vehicle going to get FIREBALL.

What do you think there are more incidences of that occur on a daily basis, and is more detrimental to the proper machinations of a functional society? Are there more people making videos of themselves being a pain in the ass to a cop by making them obey the law, or do you think there police and authority overstepping there bounds and violating citizens rights? What's a bigger problem Eric? How many unarmed kids need to be shot holding a toy gun in a toy store before you think there might be a problem?

This cop knew who the guy was knew he didn't have a warrant and just wanted to be a dick and harrass him. Then to bring it to the point of taking away the 2 week old. I say FIRE the prick.

they harass me for no reason and really lame was last time i drove onto abonded lot looking posible scrap iorn but was cleaned out from when i don't know lady bitch pulls in and im treated like crinmminal

On other hand whn i need cops to defend me it's like i have no help at all they like luaghed through the whole report process and now i got attacked by the son of elder mother ...couldnt rip apart because he had his dog with him... and i have half a brain... today got police report and an attorney that said omg you know what you have? I said yes .. defmation of charcter a million times .... wife is afarid to come out of house now this is known as two things irreprable harm and post traumatic stress disoder .which i also have today walking to coner chines restaurnt to get lunch she is outside calling a cock sucker again and other names ..so coming back she is outside with abroom i had to cover my face walk across steet past my house then double back while her back was turned away!

SO i'm filing suit for $10,000 to whole family son n two daughters plus her other relatives.

Now i know why his wife left him he probably a wife beater !

Here's my deal on this: If you are someone who gets shit on by the cops all of the time, and figures, "I need to start filming this shit!", I get it. I'm with you 100%. I don't think it's the same as just being a vigilante driving around looking for your chance to land a YouTube video.

Bad cops? Sure they are out there.

To make a more functioning society, I would like these video vigilantes to go shoot gang members committing crimes, or film other crimes happening. Maybe if they took some of the burden off of the cops, their job would be easier, and they wouldn't take things out on the general public? I can dream.

I will say this to your post, nothing you said is unreasonable or something that wouldn't be a better use of everyone's time. I agree with all of that, unfortunately there is an issue with many police forces or even just individual cops. I don't care for the idiot going from immigration check point to another either, total waste of time. What I get wound up about is when this cop goes on paid leave and at worse will get fired. He'll still be able to go to work somewhere else, maybe another state, but he'll still be a cop. It won't cost him a dime and he arrested those people. He literally broke the law and violated a man's civil rights when that is one of his most important duties to uphold.
What really grinds my gears is the cop still had supporters yet Adrian Peterson lost millions for spanking his kid and may never work in his field again. I realize that the two incidents aren't really comparable, but it certainly speaks to the power of the media and the truly meek nature of our society.
