i wil say this, Belli earns every dime, proves what coaching does in NFL; after watching them a couple times early I thought they had no chance to do anything ... i.e. Broncs game and even fish and bills early on with lack of offense ... but now who knows ... brady using all his men in vintage fashion and maroney is real deal; their D appears to be peaking too

who do you guys like in the pats/colts now

I think im staying away

I was just going to ask this same question. I love NE next week. They seem to have Indy's number over the years and really seem to step it up when they play them. Indy's run defense is very bad and not only can I see Dillon and Maroney having big games, but I can see the threat of their running game setting up the pass very well for Brady. Indy will score their points, no doubt, but I don't know that they will be able to stop the Pats. And you can never overstate how important it is to have Belichek on your side.
I thought Denver would hand Indy their first loss but I was clearly wrong. I like NE to get it done on Sunday though.

IMHO it will be the best game of the season. I also
think Indy is going to come up short, back to back
road games and that was a brutal physical game
with Denver. Two of the best QB's in the league.
I can't fricken wait. Home field is huge. I'm talkin

call me a homer, but anyone with 2 good eyes can tell you that the Colts are a flawed team. They will do great in the regular season, but come the playoffs you will need a better defense than they have to go all the way...

I like the Colts

I like the Colts

FWIW - I am not a fan of either team but I do like the Pats better since they have made me more $$$ over the years than the Colts.

Who have the Pats played besides Denver??? Cincinnati, well they look as bad as they did in the old days of Cincinnati ball and that is no joke. Peyton is the real deal and expect him to come out and show everyone next week. He'll pick the Pats apart. No contest, and this is coming from an objective opinion.

The Pats cant run the ball. The Colts will get pressure on Tom and wont give up all the broken coverages like the Vikings did. The blueprint to beat New England was provided to the league by Denver, make them one diminsional, put Brady on his back, and then he will start whining, and then its all down hill from there. Not to mention the fact that the Patriots D will not even begin to know where to go to stop Peyton. Peyton in the second half of the Denver game looked unstoppable against a great pass Defense. With all that said its a no play for me, as I dont bet against Tom, Bellichick, and those guys in the striped jerseys.

Being a die hard Pats fan, I'll try to keep this objective...

The thing the Pats do better than any team is prepare tactically. Your defense (Minn) stops the run, they'll pass on you ALL game. Your team does 4 things well, but likes one in particular, they'll take that one aspect away, and force you into making bad mistakes. They are not a "run" or a "pass" team, a coverage or a blitz team. They adapt unlike any other team, and the league knows it, they've just generally been unable to catch up to them.

This team is starting to click, and betting against them as of late is an exercise in burning cash. Even when I think it's a tough spot, it's difficult to bet against BB, and then when and if you do, you feel like an ahole, cuz they prove you wrong again.

That being said, this Colts D is probably closer to that of 2 yrs ago, and not last years unit which certainly wasn't the '85 Bears, but was a little more stout than their previous D's. Brady should be able to find some weaknesses, and most likely we will see a heavy dose of Dillon/Maroney.

Belichick will not allow the D to fold like a tent like Denver did last week, and if Peyton starts picking on any particular DB, they will adjust.

Yes, NE hasn't played anyone, but they certainly made a statement against Minn. Cincy has seemed to fold, and the rest were division games, and yes, they got beat pretty good by Denver. If Indy had last years D out there w/one more year expereince, I might lean that way, but they are banged up all over the place, and have regressed, giving up most of their YDs on the ground. Indy has had its share of close games, most notably a 1 pt home loss to Tennesee, as a 17 pt chalk. Both teams boast a 5-2 record against the number.

The line opened at -1 Patriots and after Monday night the gravy train pushed it to -3. This number should hold steady and be bet dead. The O/U is hanging around the 48.

A lot of off field stuff here as well. The Pats listed 17 on their injury report, and the Colts quickly followed suit. A few wks ago against the Jets Bill Polian grabbed a Jets official to ask about the sound system. BB caught wind of this, and filed an official complaint to the league asking that his players and officials be watched after citing "safety issues."

This game may get out of hand. NE 8-1-1 Last 10 ATS. The under is 4-6 in their last 10. I'll lay the 3 on the Hometown Pats.

Don't the Pats own Indy at home? Better coaching and Indy is due to lose. Still looking but looking hard at Pats.

Pats have owned Indy at home UNTIL LAST YEAR. In fact, this Sunday's game will be almost exactly one year ago when Indy travelled to Foxboro on a Monday night and practically raped the Pats. I lost HUGE MONEY by betting on the Pats +4 (I thought just like you last year 'Don't the Pats own Indy at home?') I just couldn't believe the line opened up with Indy favored and eventually ended up with Indy being favored by more than a field goal. And I don't want to hear about how the Pats had more injuries last year, either. In that game they had a healthy Brady, Dillon, Branch and Givens and still couldn't keep up with Indy's offense. The Pats lost to Denver and barely beat Buffalo at home and yet blew out Cincy and Minn. on the road so it seems this year they are better on the road than they are at home. This is still a very, very tough game to call, but as long as it doesn't snow this weekend and as long as the Colts are getting at least 3 points, I'll take Indy with the points......

I won't play either side this weekend. Just think there are better games on Sunday to bet on. However, I would lean to the Patriots...

People are putting way too much emphasis on Indy shredding the Denver defense. They ALWAYS smoke Denver. Teams that are successful versus the Colts either get pressure from their front four or teams who have corners that are physical with the Colts receivers. Denver has good LB's but their defensive line is still average.

The Colts still barely escaped Tennessee and the NY Jets this year. One thing the Patriots are good at is controlling the clock on offense and keeping Peyton off the field. JMO...

With that said, Peyton is playing unbelievable and anything could happen. Hence why i'm not playing either side. GL...

So Cal
The Pats cant run the ball.

Last I checked they where 6th in the NFL in rushing... They can run the ball.

IMO they have the best 1.2 punch with Dillon & Marooney.
Indy rush Def. ranks 32nd... enough said.
Pats pass Def is crappy.

to me it's a coin flip...

Let's not forget the pressure that will keep building for Indy to continue to remain unbeaten.
And you know N.E. would LOVE to be the TEAM to knock them off, especially after losing big to them last year. Patriots, NOT IN OUR HOUSE !!!
