From what I heard the store was ready to go bankrupt before the History channel signed the show. I don't think they would support Chum for the sake of the show.
You do make a good point, I should have said IF found guilty, you are 100 percent he was just charged. He has made millions off the show so he can get good legal counsel, in USA if you have money you can get off, just ask OJ.
If he's found guilty he'll never be on the show ever again, this ain't his first brush with the law and I am sure there is something in his contract that states he's done if he fucks up again.
It has nothing to do with the store, it is up to the History Channel. Hell the store could not fire him, but History Channel has the last say, Rick and the gang could do whatever the fuck they want but History Channel makes the decision weather to show him on TV or not.
I am 99 percent sure there is a claus in his contract that if he screws up again he's done. And he's facing some big charges and jail time, if found guilty he's done.
