Not much action around these parts ESP. on weekdays, but thought I'd post something that looks interesting for today.

Philly Phinally (10th):
Either favorite (nos. 1 or 3) can steal this race and doing so wouldn't be a surprise. Moya, whose on the no. 1, isn't the guy I like to see on my EARLY speeder and Montanez, an EXCELLENT rider BTW, isn't at his best on early speedsters either. Asfaras the horses go - the 1 is a little prone to dropping the anchor at some pt. in the homestretch and the no. 3 is not nearly as comfortable facing $7.5k claimers as she is vs. $5k ers. Still, both have good early speed which works pretty good at this track.

If the no. 9, MARYVILLE with a M.L. of 10-1 , or no. 10 SILVER PAYDAY with a M.L. of 12-1 can get somewhat decent position - this race could be their's. I'll be using each in my exotics for this race. Plenty of value with either of these two.

G.L.

Good to seeyas, Hamster and Hogman. We're diehards :)

Well, looks like I wasn't the only person who gave those two longshots a chance.... .. . no. 9 opened at 6-1 and no. 10 opened at 9-2. Think they may have made a mistake about which to faovor over the other though.

We'll see what happens. Plenty of time to post.

Just notes that may help:

no. 3 doesn't look too gd. in prerace but odds are VERY inviting
no. 7 is one tough cookie based on what I know about it.
Can't leave out no. 9

turns out that this one is really hard to figure.

Damn nice call Jimbo!!! The 10 looked great on the track! Broke dead last and came flying like it had a rocket up its ass to win it. It got bet hard from the 12-1 morning line but still a $10.60 winner. Thanks again Jimboski! :00hour

Moral of the story -> NEVA overcomplicate a good initial pick. :(

For me? Coulda been a nice triple stacked birthday cake.. turned out to be a little strawberry SHORTcake. Basically, a modest (W/Pl/Sh @3x) PAYDAY race. Exotics ate up most, but not all, of the dang whipped cream.

Nosigar - saw that, but thanks for the reminder. I DO check out EVERY (and mean EVERY) dang thing before I post anything. May toy around with other tracks (very little of that though) but even though Philly is a Mickey Mouse operation - I am dead serious about this place and I play this track for moola .. entertainment is a distant second priority. Skipping most of the races is crucial.

Almost always leave the place with a pin stuck in my ass though.. annoying as hell. Today it was that dang 3rd race. JUST LAST NIGHT I waz telling Mrs. Jimboski (she's the "SKI" in jimboSKI) that I'm noticing the 6 and the 7 coming in together in the tris very often. THEN, I said, "Yeah, 1-6-7 and 2-6-7 are good nos. to box in tries if ya like the 6 or the 7 in a race".
What do I do in that 3rd race.... got the dang right nos. in my trifectas on paper and then I go and take off the no. 7 hoss from the win and place spots and make him a side play (W/PL@2x)for a medium sized SIDE bet. No show bet, cause I had him coming in 3rd in the trifecta plays. Yeah, I did that to cut back the size of the bets and make sure I didn't let that no. 7 come in without me also. Sooo... I did accomplish the objective of not letting him come in without me and ruined a $645 triple. Did fine, but NOT $645 fine. SHEEEET !

Lucky7: now, if I only could make better sense of my plays like you do :(
Thank you for the Kudos.

Now ... on to Tues. which is a day that has been the luckiest for me.
