I'm seeing out to left at 6-7 mph at at gametime.
Regardless, I don't think the wind blowing out is going to favor the Cubs here. Hendricks pitches to contact, and when you pitch to contact in a Wrigley softball game, you get lit up. deGrom will miss more bats, and the Cubs are also highly prone to the K.
Overall, I just think there is so much emotional investment in the Cubs that a fair line cannot be set. They beat the worst team (in current state including injuries, not based on entire season) in the playoffs in the last round, but ran into healthier arms in this series and have been summarily shut down. They also lost both games with their two best pitchers, the supposed ace of which has completely broken down with bad mechanics and decreased velocity. These aren't robots, they know what just happened, and they know what their situation is, and it isn't good.
Cubs may get some ump help at home, but short of that, or an off outing by deGrom who has otherwise looked fantastic, I'm not sure what there is to like about them in this spot.
Barrett home ump will definitely help them. Cubs have pretty much ALL warm weather young guys - all the guys south of the US and even Bryant and Rizzo are Vegas and Florida respectively. They are young and not used to thise NY conditions. Tonight they have the warmth and wind, and backs against the wall. I think they hit Degrom enough to get a win - and will loosen up with a lead late to get the over.
Let's call it 6-3 Cubs again.
