I could imagine some might do it for the recognition. As you stated, longtime members know who to keep an eye on either way. I personally post and update my records for all sports. good, bad, or ugly. I do this for my own personal use and keep track of my units +/- in a file on my computer. Sports betting is a hobby of mine and my main source of entertainment, but I take it very seriously. I'm not a big fan of throwing away my money and would stop completely if I didn't make a profit. I agree with Hawkeye. It's a plus when tailing someone on here has a good reputation and a posted record does help. For all of the great members on this site, there are even more lurkers out there. If I'm gonna give someone advice on who to lay their hard earned money on, the least I can do is let them know my track record. Just my take...
Thanks Mully, for your voice of reason in this incredibly silly thread. No offense, Hawkeye, I understand and appreciate the question that you you asked.
I think this is what im trying to say. I know it sounds lazy but im crunching shit all the time. One time i was keeping records on the nba threads and i couldn't find a post of mine and i looked for 20 minutes. I just got so frustrated i stop doing it. By the way im not sure why, but nobody has ever asked me to post anywhere for my writing skills:shrug:
Okay i know i shouldnt do this cause it might come back to haunt me but this is what a site owner just said about me the other day. You can believe waht you want but this is a stone cold fact.
hey Sponge

xxxxxxxxx mentioned about you 3 years ago that you were an awesome capper.. He was trying to bring you here that time but you were busy owning your business in PA? Is that ya?
These posts are sad on so many levels . . . .

BTW, Jack really likes Sponge.

Some of us will start posting records, when some of you start posting plays. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't post plays here, then you have no right to ever criticize someone who does, period! The goal is to help others make cash, not to sit by idly and bash.

Some people are "Stat Freaks"
They look make sense of the numbers and put great emphasis on patterns..
They keep meticulous records and much data
And can give you stats on their performance at will..................... some do not want to show.
Some do not care that much and do not keep records other than how many 'Benjamins" they currently have in their wallet.
Finally, some can't keep long term records and stay organized enough to do so. That does not mean they are not good and don't know the numbers. Maybe just a little ADD. going on.
Respect to all those who do post up!!!!!
ESPECIALLY those who give a little reasoning blurb.
Records are great but not an absolute necessity
If you 'Bring it" They will find you!

Fur shiits and giggles.......

Could have sworn at the beginning of the season some regular poster here said that they would never let someone get away with just posting a won/loss record in baseball without also recording actual units won/lost?

:00x32

Methinks it's pretty meaningless to do so unless EVERY play made is an underdog.

I love MJ's and I think he runs a great site.

I stopped posting my fades here a while back (gots other avenues for that). I try to provide input on games whenever I can. For me, MJ's is total entertainment 24/7.

Once the "STUFF YOUR BOOKIES WALLET plays disappeared for some reason, I knew then I had to keep it all to entertainment here. LOL

BTW.....

anybody seen them????

Could have also sworn last year Hammer said he doesn't take any capper serious that doesn't keep a record?? From what he has said in another thread that doesn't seem to be the case anymore?

I'm not saying I'm just saying:shrug:

You gots to love the Cali guys that say well after a game is decided and their other picks puked, "I had a dime on that winner though":mj07:

You gots to love the clown that has his own personal peanut gallery he brought in from elsewhere to complete the nightly circle jerk in bases:142smilie

All entertainment boys, all entertainment:bigun: :firing: :bigun: :firing:
