Yup. When my friend told me to buy gold last year...it was at around 290ishan ounce....now its 379 an ounce --- it didnt go up by mistake....

And since you are overseas and in a warzone, there aint no-F*ckin-where to spend it, so you have a nice nest egg when you get back home.

If they give reservists a $20,000 BONUS for going overseas I will eat your shorts.

And yes, they are still giving out large signing bonuses, and the re-enlistment bonuses are much larger too. But when you break it down and look at it, its really not all that much. I mean, for a 6 yr hitch to get 25K... thats 12,5 cash up front when he signs and then the remaining 12.5 gets divided up and given to him each year.... so like 2,000 extra each year.

Re-up in a warzone and you get it all tax free too!

I dunno man.. the combat engineers in my battalion were ALWAYS busy doing some operation. If you get activated you will be surprised at all the weird crap they will have you doing.

Thus far, the biggest signing bonus I am offering is $10,000 cash in hand the moment you sign the papers for 5 years. And then another 2,000 after you finish the schooling. And that is only if you are going Nuclear Power.

Marine your welcome. Your take on how this will go. Some here seem to think its so easy. Last time in 1991 we lost around 110 folks from our arm forces maybe a little more. Any lost of course is a sad day. Last time we just went so far and Bush 1 said thats it call it a day. This time were going to Bagdad. The cost in lives can go much higher.
Now as I said above those hoping to proffit from the war. Might as well some of our large companies will. But when I think about that it strikes me wrong anyone looking to proffit. It makes me sad. I agree that most of these protestors are not protesting against the invasion of Iraq, but instead against the Bush Administration. After all these so called liberals are for human rights. But they haven't said anything against the human rights violations committed by Saddam & his thugs.
