The fairest thing to do is give the trip to the next place in line... LA Burns called me because he thought I was next in line and wanted to make sure I still wanted to go if he could not pull it off and I said absolutely but this contest was all MadJack and it would be up to him how he handles it if Burns could not make it {very nice guy Burns and thanks for the call}

Jack is doing the fairest thing and giving Burns seat to Gary who finished 3rd....you guys have a great time{how could you not} and bring home some cash!

Here's the thing.

I did say no transfers in the rules. I stick to that and I am off the hook, period, and I don't have to feel bad about anything. The best records won, plain and simple.

Prior to the start of the contest, I spoke to woodson and he wasn't sure if he would be able to go. He told me he would just give his trip to gmroz if he happened to win. I told him that was okay.

But, I already had made the "no transfer" rule and after thinking about it overnight I told him that it wouldn't really be fair to everybody.

Then, I made it even more clear in the rules that there would be no transfers. He then told me to take him off the contest and I did.

Now we have a player that won and is willing to give up his seat, and he offered it. We have two, maybe more players, that would love to have that seat. What is the fairest thing to do?

Probably going by the standings is the fairest thing to do.

Any feedback here?

While I admit that I should have been a bit more careful before entering the contest, I can't see how this affects you directly in any way - same goes for you ppabart - think you are both crying for no apparent reason


If I inconvenienced anyone it was Jack, and for that I have apologized - but just for the record I certainly don't give two fvcks what you 2 think about it - also I have seen nothing from either one of you that would suggest you would have had any chance even if you would have entered the contest

I think they are frustrated that they stuck closely to the rules and you didn't.

Just so there is no confusion.....Gary has summed this up perfectly. Jack did indeed say that if you couldn't 100% go (that means taking into consideration what airfares are or could be after winning) then don't sign up. There was no more torn person that me here on this. To say that I really wanted to go was a complete understatement. So by you, Mr Burns, competing and then bowing out......yeah, it sucks. So since you don't give a fvck what I think, I don't expect a response from you.

The Punta Cana Poker Classic hasn?t yet started but the inaugural tournament is already on track to go down in history as legendary. Doyle Brunson, the world?s biggest poker legend, has confirmed that he will be playing in the poker tournament from November 10 to 14 in the Dominican Republic.

After reading all these posts, I feel bad that I have no input on this. My biggest issue is my girlfriend is having issues on saying she is going for sure. :shrug:
