Jack, how far did you have to dig to find someone to pick Baltimore to win this one?

The January game was an absolute fluke. Except for Denver's piece of garbage cornerback falling down, Baltimore would have had its second loss to Denver last season. Baltimore lost by 17 at home to Denver in December.

Denver has had all year to stew about the bad loss that Baltimore gave them to keep them from the Super Bowl. The motivation in this game favors Denver big time.

The line and consensus both indicate that this will be a Denver blowout.

Don't feel too bad though, as this blowout loss will set up Baltimore for a very favorable line in week 2 when they will be rested and angry and will crush Cleveland.

When they played in Baltimore at least half the defense was out due to injuries.

Plus, the offense hadn't started to jell under Caldwell.

You can't blame one play on the playoff game loss, hell Denver was gifted with 2 kick returns.

Flacco out played Manning as well.

J. Flacco 18/34 331 9.7 3 0 1-7 65.3 116.2

P. Manning 28/43 290 6.7 3 2 3-17 58.1 88.3

Rice ran 30 times for 131 yards.

Manning will see more pressure Thursday night and Flacco will see less.

Ravens know Welker all too well and Welker has memories.

8.5 points? Come on, man.

I just don't see this game as being an easy win for Denver. How can anybody?

Nobody can, which is why the rubes are laying down their money on the Ravens. I am a contrarian bettor, and that contrary logic is screaming at me that the Broncos will cover. I will probably end up betting Broncos ML though. I would hate to have the Broncos win but be disappointed that they failed to cover.

I'm not as confident as I may sound. No way am I putting my money on the line for either side in Thursday's matchup.

I just don't think this is an automatic blowout win for the Broncos.

I don't even think it's an automatic win no matter what the score.

So, at -380, you're saying the Broncos win this same match up 8 out of 10 games. Wow. Disrespect at it's finest.

Oh mommy :scared I hadn't looked at any consensus numbers, but expected it to be heavily on Den. Broncs are ripe for fading IMO, but might jot be wise in this situ .

Good luck

Why is it that you feel that fading the public is a good way to go? The public's picks have NO bearing on what I pick. It's not even a factor?

Do you really factor in the public's opinion as a part of your handicapping?

I tend to avoid backing a public dog, especially when the line looks so juicy.

And the Ravens got royally fucked here, this game is supposed to be in Baltimore. Huge, HUGE, help for the Broncos.

This game was NOT supposed to be in Baltimore....If Baltimore was home which they should be it would be against another team,,They were playing at Denver no matter when the game took place.
