Jack, how far did you have to dig to find someone to pick Baltimore to win this one?
The January game was an absolute fluke. Except for Denver's piece of garbage cornerback falling down, Baltimore would have had its second loss to Denver last season. Baltimore lost by 17 at home to Denver in December.
Denver has had all year to stew about the bad loss that Baltimore gave them to keep them from the Super Bowl. The motivation in this game favors Denver big time.
The line and consensus both indicate that this will be a Denver blowout.
Don't feel too bad though, as this blowout loss will set up Baltimore for a very favorable line in week 2 when they will be rested and angry and will crush Cleveland.
When they played in Baltimore at least half the defense was out due to injuries.
Plus, the offense hadn't started to jell under Caldwell.
You can't blame one play on the playoff game loss, hell Denver was gifted with 2 kick returns.
Flacco out played Manning as well.
J. Flacco 18/34 331 9.7 3 0 1-7 65.3 116.2
P. Manning 28/43 290 6.7 3 2 3-17 58.1 88.3
Rice ran 30 times for 131 yards.
Manning will see more pressure Thursday night and Flacco will see less.
Ravens know Welker all too well and Welker has memories.
8.5 points? Come on, man.
I just don't see this game as being an easy win for Denver. How can anybody?
