i have no less than 14 emails telling me about this post robert made on another forum and i wanted to say something about it.
here is the post:
"Well gentlemen I have spent the last few days trying to figure out how to say this and all I could figure out was the direct approach. As you all know I recently had a very serious seizure and the doctors have finally figured out why, I have a tumor and the prognosis is not very good so I am going to be taking time to spend with my wife and two boys. I will fulfill all of my obligations to current customers but will not be taking on any more. I wanted to let everyone know what was going on so that when my site goes down and I am not posting much people won't think bad things. So good luck in all that you play and I will see you when I am done kicking the big C's ass".
robert irish has been a member of madjacks for a long time. he's helped many of us with our handicapping and helped with good information to help us beat the man. none of that is important anymore because he's got a big battle to face now. he's got questions, uncertainies, 2 children and a wife to spend time with, bills, bills, bills. i read that health insurance was something they didn't have -- can you imagine what this man faces?
robert, my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. i can't imagine what goes through your mind daily now. i want to help and will be sending out a check on monday or tuesday. i know this is something that makes you uncomfortable with and, i too, feel uncomfortable posting this on my forum without your knowledge. i know you aren't asking for help but i think you're going to need it and will help in any way i can. i FEEL for you and your family. you've made a lot of friends out here and we're like family as well and we're here to help when one of our 'buds' needs it.
take care brother and spend the time you need with your family and friends. stay strong and beat this thing. it can be done and has been done before. a positive attitude is the most important thing you can have in times like this and i know you're going to fight this and make it through, no matter what some doctor may have said.
if anybody else wants to help robert out:

hell, even $5 could help make this man's life a little easier at this point and could 'maybe' bring a smile to his face.
let's pitch in guys!
sincerely,
jack
